My wife called Albert Els on 18 and 19 July 2024 to come and service our garage door. I also sent a whatsApp on 18 July to confirm an appointment. Mr Els promised to come out on the afternoon of the 19th of July. We are still waiting for any reaction whatsoever from him. In times where businesses are desperate for work, one should not imagine this type of unacceptable, depolarable service and lack of professionalism and interest. The only conclusion one can come to, is that Mr. Els does not need customers, or simply does not care about them.
I have used WBS Renovations a couple of times in order to do maintenance on my properties recently. Look no further for excellency, trustworthy and friendlines. In these days where good service delivery is quite hard to find, it is really good to experience something special. Well done to Wentzel and his team!
I visited the Krijt nursing centre with a nasty wound on my arm. What an excellent experience! Besides the very friendly and helpful staff, sister Krijt attended to my wound with absolute profesionalism and extreme carefulness. She made me feel comfortable and gave me medication, as well as advice. A few years ago, Sandra also attended to wounds of mine a couple of times. The same goes for her. An excellent wound carer and such a pleasant person. Well done to the Krijt centre! I can honestly recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality care taking of wounds.
I am still waiting for a consultant to contact me. See below. Why am I not surprised? Clearly Vodacom is not ashamed to make promisses even on a forum like this, and then simply disgard them. In the meanwhile I received a sms i.r.o. the account payable on 01 September 2023. The part of the contract for the data is still included. I visited the Somerset West branch, and Vivienne told me that although I cancelled the expired contract on the 4th of August, Vodacom only put the cancellation to effect the end of August. In other words, Vodacom only did the cancellation almost a month later. This means that I will still pay for the data for August on the 1st of October 2023. How convenient and fair is this? Maybe Vodacom will make an effort to reply on this, as I intend advertising this services on other media as well. U also consider to cancel my debit order and only pay what is really due. Vodacom's reply: 21 Aug 2023, 14:39 Dear Customer, Thank you for making us aware of your complaint. Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query. ***Please note*** Beware of phishing ****s. Vodacom will not contact you via WhatsApp to request your personal details. Regards, Vodacom Consumer Website Team
I requested the cancellation of a contact which expired on 23 July 2023 on the 1st, 12th and 29th of June 2023 per email on the following address: retentions.cancellations@vodaccom.co.za After I received no response I visited the Vodacom branch in Somerset West. I was told that cancellations have to be done telephonically. I spoke to a consultant on 04 August (phone number 0821958) and he advised that an amount will still be deducted at the end of August. Thereafter the contract will be cancelled and no further amounts will be deducted i.r.o. this contract. Vodacom clearly changed the way to cancel a contract from instead of sending an email, to phoning without any notification on any platform whatsoever. Not even with a response to the mail I sent to, what seems the cancellation address, as well as the complaint department? I sent various emails to their customer care, customercare@vodacom.co.za as well as complains@vodacom.co.za the last one on 14 August 2023 for an explanation regarding the matter. Up till now I have not had the decency of any response whatsover. This is not only deplorable service delivery, it is blatantly rudeness, showing no interest, neither respect towards a customer. I deem it necessary that the public should know that Vodacom set a new standard of hopeless, non-existing services. Should Vodacom feels that the above is not true or applicable, I cordially invite them to contact me, preferrably through this media, to prove their view. Then everyone can see their response as well.
Coming from a corporate background and looking at the absolutely poor service delivery we all are experiencing these days, I deem it necessary to commend excellent customer service. Doing business with various companies, the service I get from Hyundai Somerset West is really outstanding. The two ladies at reception, Carron-Lee and Riani, surely know how to treat, and build good relationships with customers. They make one feels welcome with their extremely friendly- and helpfulness at all times. They are open and always keep the customer informed about whatever he needs to know regarding his business/ vehicle. I met the workshop foreman Heinrich, and same apply to him. I commend this Hyundai branch without any doubt whatsoever. Well done to the mentioned staff members! You surely make a difference in life! Keep it up and thank you!!
I reported two traffic lights that are down on the N2 in the Helderberg area on 24 March 2023. T--junctions N2/Mondeor and N2/Onverwacht Roads. As one can imagine, very heavy traffic is involved at both these locations. Due to the fact that the area falls under the jurisdiction of the Western Cape Provincial Government, the City of Cape Town escalated the matters to the WCPC. After various correspondence, the traffic lights are still out of order. Two emails on the 18th and 26th of April 2023 to the office of the Premier, were not even responded to. We see and hear on the news that the leaders in the Western Cape are busy with plans in order to reduce load shedding. I can only wonder how this is going to be done when two traffic lights at absolute strategic places cannot be repaired within more than six weeks. One also could only imagine whether this patethic service would be existed if it was voting time.
I was admitted at Cure Day Hospital, Paardevlei, Somerset West on 06 April 2023 in order to undergo a mouth operation. Seldom in my life have I experienced such excellent and professional service, from the time I was admitted until the time I was discharged. I was mostly assisted by Andréea. What a friendly, very helpful and professional lady she is. Coming from a service delivery environment myself, I want to praise and commend her attitude and fantastic helpfulness. Cure Day Hospital can be really proud on, and thankful to Andréea! Well done!! The following personel were just as friendly and helpful: Denise, Eddie, Hannah and Muvici. This quality type of service is quite scarce these days. Thank you very much for that!!

Deplorable or almost non-existing service is the order of the day these days. However. There are still companies/businesses which are the rare exception. One of these is The Eye Centre at Arun Place, Somerset West, which I am doing business with during the past 5 years. The three ladies at reception, Cornelle, Porchia and Elke, are an example of excellent customer care service. These ladies are always not only very friendly, but also extremely helpful, and a real pleasure to deal with. I really wish that there were more of their calibre in businesses. Well done ladies! You are a great asset toThe Eye Centre without doubt! Keep up the sterling work!
