PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OWNER ATTEMPTS TO HAVE ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS REMOVED AND IF THE REVIEWS ARE NOT REMOVED, SHE HARRASSES YOU AND REPORTS ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS SO POTENTIAL CLIENTS DO NOT KNOW THE REALITIES OF THEIR SERVICE (THE OWNER HAS LITERALLY BEEN CALLING US AT 10PM). FURTHERMORE **** REVIEWS ARE BEING POSTED BY HOW GREAT THE VENUE IS BY THE OWNERS AFFILIATES. We recently hosted an event at the Venue on Leslie, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. While the space itself is quite nice, the management completely ruined the experience and we encountered significant issues that dampened the experience. To start, we arrived to find that the venue had just put topsoil on the grass – that had just been watered. It was not only unpleasant but also unprofessional to have such a situation at a venue hosting private functions. Additionally random people wandered into our private event without any management oversight. We were also disappointed with the lack of clarity regarding their policies. Unfortunately, when the caters arrived we were informed that they could not utilise the plug points/electricity at the venue to fry the food, we found ourselves in a bind as our catering setup was delayed because we had to scramble to find a gas stove on a Sunday. This was incredibly frustrating and put a damper on the flow of the event. This delayed the event by about 2 hours. It would have been helpful if the venue had suggested alternatives or offered any assistance in securing equipment, especially considering the last-minute nature of our situation. To make matters worse - the manager was unprofessional and rude, at around 17h00, the manager and her staff started cleaning up and were basically kicking everyone out (with zero consideration for the delay caused by the venue’s lack of communication), which left many of us shocked and embarrassed. The way this was handled was downright hostile. It felt like we were being treated like a nuisance rather than valued guests. Communication was poor, and there was no effort made to address our concerns and make the situation better. Additionally, the manager abruptly instructed the bartender to stop serving drinks before the event had even concluded. The manager's interaction with the catering team was equally frustrating. They were told to leave prematurely, despite the fact that we had not yet wrapped up the event. This lack of consideration for both guests and vendors was incredibly unprofessional. The manager prioritized closing down over ensuring a positive experience for everyone. Oh and there was only one bathroom available for all the guests, and it was dirty and poorly maintained. This was incredibly inconvenient for a gathering of our size. If you're considering the Venue on Leslie for an event, I strongly advise against it for any event where a good experience is a priority. No one wants to deal with a manager who has such a lack of respect for their guests. It's clear that the management needs to focus more on customer service and less on rigid policies. Save yourself the stress and look for a venue that values its clients!

I ordered a headboard on 27 September 2023. I duly paid the deposit. On 4 October 2023, I received an email stating that - “Your order has been added to our production queue. This means that your order has been paid for and is sitting in our queue. Please note our lead time is 25-30 business days. Your estimated due date is : November 16th 2023 You will receive updates on your order via email at every stage”. On 14 November 2023, two days before my order was supposed to be delivered I received a WhatsApp message from Eusuf, who assisted in placing the order, stating that my order will only be going into production within that week (almost 2 MONTHS after placing the order) and that delivery will be complete the following week. I didn’t hear from Eusuf again. I sent various messages inquiring about my order and I was completely ignored by Eusuf. I telephonically contacted Eusuf who said his driver would deliver my headboard during the week of the 4th of December 2023. Again, I did not hear back from Eusuf despite numerous attempts to contact him. (Of course their email of 4 October 2023 meant nothing as they didn’t deliver on time as promised or provide me with regular updates). I’ve asked for my deposit back and have been ignored. Eusuf was very quick to assist me initially and take my money but now can’t answer my calls or deliver my headboard. This is theft!! This company is an absolute **** and ********** to deal with. Please do not support these **** artists, they are a bunch of ********s. I will act accordingly against these ****mers, it is imperative that they face the full force of the law!!
Buffalo logistics is an absolute scam and nightmare to deal with. I was sent an email informing me that my package was returned to the warehouse because no one was home to collect the package. Firstly - I was not contacted at all (neither telephonically or by sms or email) to inform me about the delivery. Secondly - I have checked the cameras at my house and no delivery vans came to my house at all! This is a blatant lie on the part of an international company! I’ve tried to contact Buffalo Logistics with no luck, they don’t answer calls, WhatsApp or emails. Shein needs to be made aware of how atrocious its South African delivery partner is!! Buffalo Logistics - Please let us know what is happening to our parcels because in my opinion this calls for legal action against this atrocious company!!
The absolute worst furniture shop to deal with. I placed an order over 3 weeks ago. I received no confirmation of my order after being told that I would receive confirmation, even after calling the store multiple times and requesting confirmation of the order. All 3 of the sales assistance that I spoke to could not find my order on the system. Each time I called, I was informed that they could not find the order on the system and then after a long while of being on hold, I was told that they had in fact found the order on the system, this went on for 2 weeks, each time I called (as I still had received no confirmation of my order). I eventually spoke to the manager of the store who informed me that my order is only arriving at the end of September and I would receive it in October (I was not informed of this at any point in time). My order was placed in August and their delivery period is 7-14 days. I still have not received confirmation of my order and I did not and still have not received any updates re the estimated date of delivery. Cielo is not the store that you can receive efficient service at!
