Used THERE PLATFORM even to load the funds (Instant Eft)' the worst is this' so atleast be honest to your clients and say listen here so sorry our finance team does not work on Sundays come back tomorrow and we will have sorted the problem. No no no no they will tell you the following "Please revert back in a while to see if the issue has been sorted" "Matter has been escalated" "please give some time" when are you guys going to start listening to your clients???? Your support centre staff have the iq of my garden chair.... please for God sake can you employ someone to take charge and try and sort out the Sh#t because that is what a support center does. If you dont have someone with half a brain cell please arrange an interview for me.
To Uber Eats Support, I am writing to formally report and seek immediate action regarding an appalling incident involving one of your drivers, Nyarai Reminder, also known on WhatsApp as "Mr. Bikausi AH," operating under motorbike plate not sure. This driver not only failed to provide the expected service but also engaged in conduct that was both intimidating and *********, leading to an extremely traumatic experience for my wife and financial loss for both us and Uber Eats. Incident Details: On 5 November 2024, my wife placed an order (#D4E77) through Uber Eats for a total of just over R180. Due to issues on the Uber Eats app, she was unable to select a bank card payment option. Additionally, she could not access her banking app, a technical issue we can provide proof of from Capitec. When the driver arrived, she assumed assistance could be provided at the door. Instead, this driver escalated a small issue into a major scene, quickly becoming confrontational and disruptive. The driver went so far as to snatch my wife’s phone from her hand, refusing to return it, prompting interference from our complex's body corporate. When my wife contacted the Astron Energy Birchleigh garage where the items were collected, they confirmed she could return the items since payment wasn’t going through, a lawful resolution in South Africa. However, the driver refused, threatening to call the police unless he received immediate payment. Driver's Misconduct and Theft: After multiple attempts to resolve the matter, I arranged to pay the driver R250 at a BP garage on Elgin Road to cover the order and offer compensation for his time. Despite this, when my wife received the bag, it was clear items were missing—two pies and two cokes—indicating they had been taken by the driver. Upon further inspection, we discovered that Uber Eats had already refunded our R180 the previous day, so the driver’s demands for additional payment were unwarranted. This driver not only took advantage of our difficult situation, but he also: 1. Intimidated my wife by threatening her with the police. 2. Retained payment of R250 despite Uber Eats issuing a refund. 3. Failed to return items to Astron Birchleigh, effectively de*****ing both Uber Eats and Astron Energy. 4. Misrepresented the situation to pressure us into giving him extra cash “off the record.” Demands for Immediate Action: 1. A formal written apology from Uber Eats, and from this driver, addressed to my wife for the harassment and distress he caused. 2. A full refund of the R250 I paid him, as the original R180 was refunded by Uber Eats. 3. Assurance that this driver will be investigated for theft and misconduct. 4. Confirmation that this driver will not be allowed to further victimize Uber Eats customers, particularly vulnerable individuals who may encounter similar issues. Legal Notification: I am prepared to file a formal case of theft against this driver with law enforcement if appropriate action is not taken. His behavior violated our trust, caused undue stress, and exploited the Uber Eats platform to obtain extra funds. I will escalate this issue to the highest levels within Uber Eats to ensure accountability. I urge other customers who have been mistreated or intimidated by this individual to come forward, as I am fully committed to ensuring that such conduct does not go unnoticed.
