Account closure I have been trying to get Standard Bank to close my account for several months now, but I have not received any assistance. I originally had a cheque account, and after losing my job, I was no longer able to use the account or keep up with the monthly fees. As a result, the account went into arrears solely due to bank charges. I went into a branch to find a solution or at least stop the fees from accumulating, but I was told this was not possible. Instead, the account was downgraded to a MYMO account even though I already had an existing MYMO account. This means I was misinformed and ended up with two accounts offering the same service. I signed a bank closure letter yet to this day the account is active. To make matters worse, the MYMO account is also accumulating unreasonable fees. I was told the monthly charge would be around R7–R8, but I am still being charged around R200 per month. I need this account closed.

I recently enquired about an uncleared transaction which took place on the 11 June. The merchant has advised that they have refunded the funds into my account however the transaction remains uncleared. How long will ABSA take before I get the funds. Haven't had an update since yesterday. This is truly an inconvenience as it seems that no one wants to take accountability of where the funds are or who should release them.
I rented a car from avis from 23rd May to 6 June. Returned the car in good condition and fuel filled up. I was told my refund will take 3-5 days and 11 days later I am still waiting. I have reached out to the bank and they are asking for a letter from Avis. Now AVIS is saying they cant provide this letter because my account was debited by them and no letter is required. Question is what do I do now because I need my deposit. Why isn't any of the parties taking accountability. I need my refund
How long does it take for absa to a transaction. I have been seeing an uncleared refund transaction on my account since Wednesday
I app**** for unemployment benefits and after the claim was approved the Labour Department advised that the funds were paid into my old ABSA account. I’ve contacted ABSA with regards to this and have not received feedback. I was advised that the funds were not returned , can ABSA please help locate these funds as they went into my account and have them refunded
After struggling and fighting a losing battle with the labour centre and dealing with call centre agents that sent me from one agent to another I decided to go to the labour department in Sandton. I must say I was very worried because I got there at 10:30am and was surprised to find the place almost empty. The lady who assisted me was very kind and because i didn’t have my documents printed I asked to come back and she was very understanding. The whole process was pretty easy and I was out of there by 11:30am. After this experience I do hope that my claim gets approved though as I have been waiting since March.
I app**** for unemployment benefits in February, to this day I have still not been paid. I have been asked to send multiple UI. 19 forms which I don’t understand why. This is so frustrating because this is the second time I apply for benefits and I have not received a single cent.

I have been trying to call ABSA legal department about my vehicle which is financed by them with no success. Is there a direct line as I have been given a million numbers and no one seems to answer or get back to me.
