Who does one contact if you have been waiting for a UIF approval (I say again approval) from the 5th of June 2025. I’ve recently lost my job and I am relying on UIF to pay out while I’m search of work but it seems they refuse to approve let alone pay out. Worst thing is that one of my colleagues has received his payout already. Plus I’ve spent money that I have on airtime to communicate with the UIF call center and petrol to to get to the department of labour sandton branch. Worst of all I’ve been told by the staff (security and the person in charge of loading claims) that the call center is useless as they don’t do anything there. On the 5th August 2025 I was told that everything is loaded and it will be approved by Monday 11 August 2025. To is the 27th August 2025 and still no approval and I was at the center again on the 18th August 2025 only to be told don’t speak to the call center just wait and keep checking your status. Can someone help I’ve fallen behind on loans and on my house rates and like I said before I am relying on this payout.

I have submitted my claim on the 5th of march 2025 I was told to come back on the 7th of April when I went back I was told they were not working due to financial year Audit and also my company needs to declare so they can approve on their side I must come back after 10 days I went back after that 10days I was told the person who needs to approve says he doesn’t have network I must come back on friday I went back on Friday I asked to see the manager then I was told to leave my id number and contact they will call me on Monday Monday I didn’t get any call I came back Tuesday they told me it’s approved and I should request for payment I did and I was told to wait for payment 7to 12 working days I waited until the 20th since I signed on the 3rd of June still no payment I am at labour as I speak nothing is happening I have them my id the said I should sign another payment request and remain at the back it’s almost two hours waiting no one is saying anything

The worst service ever, there is this lady called Teboho who works at till 7 she doesn't deserve to work there cauae she's constantly on her phoneaking personal calls while we are there at the que waiting for her to help us. She will spend 15 minutes on yhe phone then after go on WhatsApp and be busy texting while there ia a client there on her desk amd constantly going up and down pretending to be busy and on top of that she's very rude and she keeps chasing people ans telling them to come back tomorrow... I heard these 2 gentlemen complaining saying that she's been chasing them for 4 days now ans they have not received any help. She is very rude ams giving the department a bad name

After struggling and fighting a losing battle with the labour centre and dealing with call centre agents that sent me from one agent to another I decided to go to the labour department in Sandton. I must say I was very worried because I got there at 10:30am and was surprised to find the place almost empty. The lady who assisted me was very kind and because i didn’t have my documents printed I asked to come back and she was very understanding. The whole process was pretty easy and I was out of there by 11:30am. After this experience I do hope that my claim gets approved though as I have been waiting since March.
