as a customer I feel misled by Makro online... I bought a 3 seater green sofa on the 11th of September and the status on track my order remained unchanged for a week I do not understand why would they advertise something from an unreliable supplier, the estimated delivery date was supposed to be today the 18th of September instead the supplier of Makro was silent until I called for an update. If this is not resolved by the 26th of September I will escalate it to the Consumer Goods and Service Ombudsman..... I definitely would not recommend this brand! I wish that they had an existing web page on Google where we can go n review them. I would have loved to attach some proof of what I'm talking about. They're selling a lie, the photoshoot itself is doesn't give that wow FACTOR! The clothes really smell unhygienic, trust them when they say you should wear your basics underneath. Their edited pictures were just a joke. The 5 edited photos where even worse they had a very dark filter that washed out the original colour of the picture. WOW Lebo. They're just a group of ****mers together with the promoters. Prepare yourself to pay at least R1500. I deposited the shoot with R250. On the day I payed 900 for 23 Digital photos. Their packages varies from: R1400 Platinum R1000 Gift set R900 Digital only R700 5 print outs There's a R50 sitting fee. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED AND FELT LIKE I WAS MISLEADED BY KIM, EDDIE. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR TRICK WHEN THEY SAY THEY'RE ABOUT TO LEAVE TO GO SET UP ELSEWHERE.
Standard Bank Home or Building Insurance - unhappy customer. Complaint Background I reported a claim on the 2nd of August 2024 to Standard bank building insurance for a Roof Leak after the storms we experienced in Western Cape in July and the claim was acknowledged with the following claim number 24/06/1195. On the 15th of August 24, an appointed service provider (ELGANOX) came to my home for assessment and left. He took a few photos of the ceiling inside showing the signs of the water leaks internal and stepped on the roof to do the same. The assessor said he suspects that the leak comes from the 3 roof tiles that appeared to have cracked. A week later when I called to follow up on the assessment outcome I was told that the claim was rejected due to poor maintenance based on the report from the assessor. The house is fairly new, it was plot and plan and I have 3 years and 8months since I've been contributing towards my insurance premium now it's R304.48 per month. I would like to know if was it just a misleading statement when you said I must take the policy to protect my home from any unforseen structural damage ? Severe weather conditions are bound to come with unavoidable structural damage, what I need to know though as a homeowner how was I supposed to prevent tiles from cracking ? I am disappointed with that judgment as I strongly believe that it is subjective with a personal taste of biasness between the service provider and the insurer if they're not working together to just find loopholes in order to escape your responsibility or end of the agreement. If I'm expected to maintain my home at my own cost then that basically means that I'm paying for nothing if I would have saved the monthly premiums contributed so far from 2021 I would not be in this situation. I am not happy. When we sign up for these policies we expect some peace of mind during the time of need not frustration. My home is my valuable asset at the moment and you guys have failed me. At this stage I cannot put trust on all the other listed things that you allegedly claim to cover as specified on the agreement and that feeling alone tempers with the enjoyment of my property if all you care about is deducting your bond and insurance premiums without any obligations on your side. Please do not be surprised when I post my review on Hellopeter, Google reviews and other social media platforms based on the above unpleasant experience. From poor communication to poor maintenance of a 3 years old structure/roof. Please try to be considerate and not self serving next time. R305( that's subjected to annual increase) is not a child's play and if I'm going to be paying it for the next remaining 16 years and 4 months, then I am the clown in this equation. I wouldn't recommend especially for African female 1st time homeowners.
I am struggling with your customer service, I don't know if whether my order has been shipped or not? Why can't it be completed so that I can track it... I placed my order on Wednesday evening but I still don't have any proper shipping details hai maan Patience! Mind you she promised to forward me the tracking no before 8 as soon as I complete payment. It was on Saturday when I followed up on my order after a dead silence from her after sending my POP. You just see her online with no update or any form of communication... To my surprise this was her response: Hi ,I’m not your friend ,Ai patience is rude .I’m not your friend .you will get tracking number when we are your list The audacity! She rep**** like there's nothing wrong....like I owed her some form of worship or respect! Clearly she's a baby or just a brainless slay queen when it comes to business! I was fuming...her online page is currently a joke when it comes to customer service! The doesn't even deserve any form of rating n I'll make it my new project to caution ppl with such....

The agent on duty got lost when he was suppose to go and respond in my home. I complained and nothing was done. They don't even belong to independent security company bodies that can protect us such as SAIDSA or PSIRA because when I forwarded the nature of my complaint to them they couldn't help. I would like to sincerely express my disappointment and report or file a complaint for a missed burglary by one of your first response team.... The negative incident occurred at 23:52 when the app notified me and a call from your call centre immediately came in n I reported that I was not at home and the app is detecting some action can they please send an urgent response. I was in Mitchell's Plain and I travelled all the way from Westridge and got home minutes later only to find my home open, indeed there was a house break in and my Plasma TV was stolen and the aluminum door was damaged to gain access...there was absolutely no feedback or any response from National Housing this entire time My body cooperate security guards were already arrived and they assisted for calling the police, I then pressed the panic button to figure out why was the response vehicle was nowhere to be found the call centre called again it the agent who was sent out for my call out was getting lost Nkosinathi eventually came to my home too late at 00:50 to attend to me. I am very unhappy about the matter. The matter was never resolved they told me that it is my duty to insure my house content and they left it at that. The regional manager is so useless that they only followed up on the above complaint after 6 days. Their vehicles are so restricted that they don't even show the necessary visibility or patrol sometimes the alarm would go off and they either don't call immediately or they call 15 minutes later. I would give them a minus zero...the quality of the product that they render is very poor if you're around Strand I'd not recommend. The organization doesn't value or honour their code of ethics.
