I am based in KZN but relocating to CT end of July to start my new employment on the 04.08.25.I did not qualify on my own so my fiancé co-app**** however now they are asking for another R350, yet i paid for the initial application. They ask for all these fees without waiting to get approved first. I have lost my courier booking due to this and i have stressed so many times with Joyce Mouton and Danyelle Kemp the urgency of finding a place so i can confirm address with the courier. I did an application with another agency and got approved, however the property will only be ready in September so i am back to searching again. How did I not qualify with Harcourts. I have less than three weeks to move and I have nothing sorted because of all this time wasted. Harcourts have really wasted my time and money.
On the 06.05.2023 I filled R300.00 diesel at BP Arena Park in Chatsworth KZN. I filled the diesel before I got home that night. I did not use the vehicle the next day at all. On Monday morning I left for work and my vehicle got stuck on the side of the road because it switched because of loss of power. After many attempts my vehicle did start however it started smoking. On Tuesday 09.05.2023, morning I got stuck again this time my vehicle refused to start. I had to call my mechanic and my vehicle had to get towed. I ended up coming late to work. For me this was very unprofessional as this is a new company I am working for. My mechanic then diagnosed the diesel that was filled was contaminated. On Thursday 11.05.2023 I called BP Arena Park to lay a complaint. I was told to drop of a sample of the diesel that was drained from my vehicle so they could send it to BP SA for testing. I dealt with Vepaul and Jody from BP Arena Park, and i was not happy with the service i received. They refused to give me a reference number for the fault logged with BP SA and the contact number for BP SA. I had to google the number on 12.05.2023 and call myself. It was only the afternoon on 12.05.2023 that Jody decided to give me the number for BP SA. On the night of the 13.05.2023 I received a rejection letter from BP SA saying they tested the samples from my car and the tanks from the garage and they pumps at the garage pass the specs and there is nothing in there diesel. They also said other customers are not complaining. I am absolutely furious with BP SA and BP Arena Park because, for one i am not interested in other peoples cars, i am only interested in mine. I am in the motor industry for 15 years and know the in and out about vehicles from body panels to the engine. I work for a reputable company the BlueSpec group. My mechanic is a qualified one too with many years experience. Number 2 I am a single woman living in Durban and my family is an hour away. I make sure my vehicle is in 100% working condition because its my only mode of transport. I have the samples of the diesel that was drained from my vehicle, and its black. At the bottom of the container one can clearly see the diesel is separating so there is water mixed. I spent R1000.00 alone just on diesel to flush the system, i had to change the diesel filter, the injectors had to get checked and cleaned, my vehicle was towed 4 times, my mechanic's labor including diagnostics and call out fees, plus I had to uber to work which is 30 min from were i stay. I sent numerous emails to Wardiah Magerman and Mhlanganisi Jennings, i have made numerous calls to them as well and i spoke to Zoey, I requested for a technician to call me so I can explain what happened but till date no one has called me neither have I received any emails from them. Who is going to compensate me for my loss. I filled fresh diesel from Engen and since i my vehicle has no problems. Prior to filling that night at BP Arena Park my car had no problems. So clearly the diesel was an issue. I have told BP SA that i will be taking this further and this is my first step. If no response and compensation is received from BP SA or BP Arena Park i will be taking this to the ombudsman.
In 2019 I purchased a Hisense fridge from Makro Pietermaritzburg. In 2020 I had recieved a replacement unit because the fridge was not cooling. I had to throw away food worth R5000 because my fridge was not replaced on time. This year I have yet another problem. The freezer over freezed so much causing one of the drawer handle to break. The freezer built so much of ice pushing the door open. I defrosted the freezer for more than 12 hours that's how much of ice built up. Now the freezer doesn't freeze but the fridge does. My stuff in the freezer is so soft that I'm throwing things away. My veggies in the fridge are also going bad daily. I have lost so much of food due to this fridge. I have not received any help from Makro head office. I had to make my own phone calls, only to be directed to Hisense who say they cannot replace my fridge yet its under warranty. Yet in 2020 they did replace I have proof of this. Technicians were dispatched to my home without informing me. A thermostat was authorized to be changed without my knowledge. I even told makro head office I'm willing to pay in extra to get another brand as I completely unsatisfied with this brand. Although it comes with a 5 year warranty one cannot replace a unit every year of the warranty it does not work this way. I will be taking this matter further and informed everyone I know not to support makro in the future and neither purchase this useless brand. Everyone from makro to Hisense were of no help to me at all. The consultants certainly need training. They should take this useless fridge and I will rather support game or another store.
