I wish to express my disappointment with the manner in which my case (Reference 202601-0179454) has been handled by the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. I lodged a complaint against Hisense on 15 January 2026 regarding a faulty washing machine. On 13 February 2026, a technician was sent to my home to inspect the appliance. Since then, 64 days have passed without any update or feedback from the adjudicator assigned to my case.
I app**** for gym membership 31 January 2025 and two days later cancelled my membership as I was within my cooling off period and the whole contract was a mess with incorrect numbers, members details etc. Ignite Fitness still went ahead and Debited my account on 3 February with R300 according to them pro rata and again on 13 February R279 and this continued after receiving an email indicating that my contract is cancelled from their Retention Consultant. To date I am still paying R279 on debit orders that I have to cnacell with the bank every month and pay R40 for cancellation and I am still waiting on my R250 refund that I paid as joining fees on 31 January 2025. This gives gyms a bad name no wonder people are skeptical and no longer interested in membership with their local gyms.
Undelivered goods by Homechoice!!! I would like to raise my disappointment in my online purchase with Homechoice. I purchased goods online on 21 August 2023 to date and two payments later I have still not received my purchased items. I have called on numerous occasions where I was told the parcel is on route then again, they are checking with the couriers, then a query has been lodged. Online when tracking my parcel its indicated that Your parcel has been packed at the warehouse on 21 August 2023 nothing further! My ref number is Merchant Ref. 63341260 . I have one more payment left on this purchase and if I knew that I will be paying for goods that I will not receive I would have never even bothered to purchase from Homechoice. he customer service from Homechoice is poor and when ever you call you are transferred or they answer and then let you hold the line without anyone talking.
Still waiting on my refund to be paid (R14 600) . Its been 3 weeks and everyday I call just to be told they will get back to me. Received a call on 13 July 2023 to tell me transfer is being processed 10 days later and still nothing reflecting in my bank account. Everyday I get told they left a message on the system and it was escalated to the Finance Billing Team / Creditors. They promise to call me back as soon as it is sorted out. Everyday I call them back to get the exact same story.
You pay R120 expecting delivery the following day! After a week still no delivery to the client! I called the offices and are being told the driver had to many deliveries, its festive season in the past Covid was used to disinfect parcels first! I might as well use other service paying half the price and know delivery will be within 2 - 3 days. Paying R120 for overnight and after 7 days still no delivery ***!!!Pathetic excuses an this is from Pretoria to Jhb not even to another province!!!
