Woolworths Win & Spin promotion is not giving their customers a gift! Rather encouraging customers to spend on stuff that they probably don't need or really want. Woolies if you value your customers and want to give them a gift 🎁 please don't attach T&C's. When T&C's are attached it isn't a gift anymore rather a marketing ploy to encourage turnover for Woolworths. SHAME THIS DOSEN'T GO DOWN WELL !
Only 2 words disgusting, inedible! I bought 8 plain vetkoek as I made my own mince filling, the vetkoek was over fried on the outside ( dark brown) and on the inside the dough was absolutely still raw, I could taste the yeast still and no salt in the dough. These are definitely not traditional vetkoek, have no word to describe them. Terrible, what a waste of money! THEY WON'T SEE ME AGAIN...
I sent a review to hellopeter regarding my dismay about a promotion woolies was running on Jacobs Krònung Coffee and 2 other queries. I also sent an email to Woolworths customer service on 3rd May 2024. I received an automated response that a consultant would be in contact shortly. To date absolutely nothing!! It dosen't surprise me though, Woolworths has lost it's good old fashioned values. A customer is just merely a number. So sad to experience such a lack of customer cares from Woolworths, towards a long standing Woolworths customer. I've thought long and hard about this and will not be returning to support a company that has little or no regard for their customer.
BEWARE OF MISLEADING PRICE ADVERTISING AT WOOLWORTHS!! Did my shopping at Springs Mall Branch yesterday. Purchased Jacobs Instant Krònung coffee. The promotion on the shelf reads " Jacobs Krònung 200grm includes Refill Pack excludes Decaffenated) R149.99. I took what was advertised only find when I checked my till slip at home I was charged R149.99 each. Note the word includes in the promotion!! Includes tells me the refill pack and the bottle are included. The ad did not say OR but said INCLUDES!! On the Spar promotion pamphlet they too have Jacobs Krònung on special and their ad correctly states the price "Jacobs Krònung Instant Coffee OR Refill pack (Excl. Decaf) 200 g / 230 g assorted R129.99. There are no hidden surprises in the Spar ad. It's plain and simple for anyone to understand, the ad clearly states one or the other and is not misleading like the Woolworths ad that states INCLUDES!! I also bought 6 cans of Tuna and was charged for 8 cans. Went straight back to Woolworths only to be told I'm not correct with the Jacobs Krònung promotion, includes, I was told means either the bottle or the refill ????? The 2 cans of Tuna I was overcharged for were replaced. I'm very interested to have feedback from Woolworths on this misleading advertising issue. Springs Mall branch definitely needs attention! Wanted 6 tubs of Woolworths Complete Meal for my dogs, only 3 in stock. Wanted some fresh fish nothing in stock, wanted pickled fish, nothing in stock, wanted blueberries, nothing in stock, wanted ciabata bread nothing in stock. I'm dissapointed, frustrated and fed up now. My best bet is to change to another brand. Who does Woolworths think pays for the extra trip to their store to get the tuna I was charged for, but was not in your parcel and the Jacobs Coffee that I was mislead on the pricing. Me, I pay for this and don't forget the 2 tips to the car guard and of course my time!!! It seems Woolworths just dosen't care about their customers anymore, they happy to take our money though.
I have had absolutely no assistance from the call centre.or the 2 team leaders that promised to assist me with an account that I have a payment arrangements on and have never defaulted on a single payment, but this account is handed over to debt collectors. I am helping my son who lost his income when covid hit SA. He became ill, visited many doctors who did many blood tests to ascertain what was wrong with him. After thousands of rands it was concluded he was suffering from stress which caused anxiety attacks. He is slowly getting up and running again, but is not yet in a financial position to take over the Lancet account. I (his mother) called Lancet and made a payment agreement to pay the accounts off at R500.00 per month. I can't pay more than that as I only earn a pension. Lancet confirmed this arrangement with me and I've paid the R500.00 per month faithfully and have never defaulted on this. In October 2023 the account was handed over to Stols Atorneys for collection, I couldn't understand why as I had never defaulted with the payment arrangements. I called Lancet and the account was withdrawn from Stols Atorneys and I was told I can carry on with my usual monthly payments to Lancet. I was emailed confirmation from Lancet confirming the above. All went well until February 2024 (4 months later) I started receiving emails and phone calls from Strauss Daly Attorneys regarding the Lancet account. I called into Lancet call center and they directed my call to a Team leader who understood that my account was not in default and promised to have it withdrawn from Strauss Daly Attorneys. I asked him to email me proof that the account is placed on hold and I can continue with the agreement of paying the R500.00 pet month to Lancet. He promised to follow up our telephone conversation with an email of confirmation of the payment arrangements. No email came, after numerous calls to Lancet to speak to him I was told eitger he is in a meeting, he is in training or he's is off sick. After more phone calls to Lancet I was put through to a lady team leader whom promised to sort this issue out and email me proof that the account was withdrawn from Strauss Daly Attorneys. Well I have definitely not had any help whatsoever from her, she has not emailed me anything and I'm still getting calls from Strauss Daly Attorneys. Strauss Daly Attorneys even have the nerve to phone and when I answer the call I hear all the background noise but no one speaks to me then the call is disconnected. When I call the number back and ask which company I'm through to the person says Strauss Daly Attorneys. What Lancet is doing to me is elderly abuse!! I use all my airtime to make these calls, but no help has been forthcoming. I'm going to try again tomorrow to get hold of an accounts manager to sort this problem out for me. I'm in a state of over stressed.
We went to have our Christmas lunch at the Balaliaka hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg. We booked for our lunch in the Conservatory. From my first contact when inquiring and making the reservation to the moment we left it was one amazing experience. This Jewel is a hidden treasure in the concrete jungle. The service was par excellence, far above average. The food was well presented and a lovely variety was served. We really enjoyed this well prepared, tasty meal. The staff is so friendly and caring a rare find nowadays. The atmosphere was so charming we wished we could have spent more time there, but we will most certainly be back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff that sacrificed their family time to make our day so memorable. Protea Hotel's Management you certainly got it right putting such a great team together. This is probably the best run hotel we have visited in a long long time. Again thank you for making our day such an amazing day.
We ate a lunchtime meal at Ocean Basket Springs Gate on Saturday. The table was very sticky we had to wash our hands and arms to our elbows when we got home. The chair i sat on had something messed on it which I didn't notice at the time, only when I got home I found stains on the back of the white pants I was wearing. As far as the food was concerned we found the portions of veg we ordered minimal, watery and especially the butternut tasteless. The kingklip was over cooked and dry. We won't be supporting them again.
I have been waiting for a refund of R452 for duplicate Registration certificate for a vehicle since December 2022. I have made so many phone calls that I guess I've spent more on the telephone bill than the refund due. I call into Wesbank listen to so much music, intructions... eventually a consultant answers my call, I ask to speak to the team leader whom has supposedly been helping me. I hold on for ages sometimes I'm fortunate enough to speak to this team leader who promises to sort the refund out, but to date no refund has appeared in our bank account. The last call to the team leader last week I was told the refund was authorized and the funds should appear in our bank account within about 48 hours, nothing happened, no refund. Today I emailed this team leader again. But no reply to my email. This seems to be standard practice with the team leaders. I called and asked to be put through to the team leader who has been "assisting " me. He did not answer his phone and the call center lady said she would send him an email with a message that he should call me. As usual nothing, no response. No reply to my untemth email and no call back either. I'm so frustrated and disgusted with Wesbank I don't know what to do!! NOT EVEN BAD SERVICE. THIS IS UNNECESSARY AND NO SERVICE!! WESBANK YOU ARE A DISGRACE !!
One word AWESOME! THANK YOU MICHAEL AND SHAUN FOR COMING OUT TO DIAGNOSE OUR WATER PROBLEM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY IN LETTING US KNOW IT'S DAMP RISING FROM UNDER GROUND. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOUR SERVICES FOR LEAK DETENTION WITHOUT RESERVATION. AFTER HAVING HAD 3 PREVIOUS SO CALLED PROFESSIONAL LEAK DETECTION COMPANIES HERE NONE COULD FIND THE PROBLEM. YOUR STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT THAT YOU USE IS AN ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL DETECTING A WATER PROBLEM. YOU WERE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT CAME WITH PROPER EQUIPMENT. YOUR PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE AND NOT TO MENTION HOW PROFESSIONALLY YOU ATTENDED TO OUR PROBLEM. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!
