I am writing as a follow up to CSOS-16510/WC/24. The case was referred to Adjudication on Apr 30 2025. As our next AGM is coming up in April, I would've expected feedback by now but there is still no feedback. I submitted my Complaint on 10 March 2025. Almost a year later and still no real movement. This is really not encouraging at all for an institution that is supposed to be of assistance to owners of community schemes.
My CSOS complaint was formally lodged on 11 March 2025. The matter was referred to conciliation on 29 March and the Conciliation hearing was held on 15 April 2025. On April 30 we received a Request for Final Submission as the case was now referred to Adjudication. Final Submissions were all done on April 30. On June 17 I have received no further communication and followed up. I was told that they are still waiting for Final Submissions (of which we had a deadline of 7 May). I communicated that all Final Submissions were done on Apr 30 and I had to forward the relevant emails from both parties as it looks like this was not communicated to the lady that was now appointed as the Investigator. Since June, I have followed up numerous times. I have received NO feedback at all from CSOS. When I call I hear that there is a backlog and that they are still waiting for an Adjudicator to be appointed. It has been 5 months, and there has been NO movement at all. I can also not get an answer when I ask how long these cases normally take.
I will not even go as far as giving 1 star but looks like it is not possible to do that. I am beyond frustrated with Absa Home loan's service. Year after year, each time I make a request, it takes approximately 3 days or longer to get feedback. Each time I promise myself that I will move my home loan, but this year I am done. No longer. I just cannot understand how an institution can be this bad. I have submitted documents after my divorce in 2017 to change the contact person and submitted new company documents, but this is just never updated on my account. Every time I get asked to submit the same things over and over. I even escalated and complained about the service at Absa. This is also taking days and is not providing any speedy resolution.
I don't know what I have to do to get feedback on a claim. After the claim was logged for a bursted geyser, the plumbers came out and I was told that Absa will do a cash settlement. On Monday 27 Feb I received the email with the form to complete, which I did and emailed it back. Today is Thursday 02 March and every day I sent an email requesting feedback, with no reply. Just an automated email to inform me that a consultant will get back to me. This is really unacceptable service! I have been on the phone for more than 13 minutes now, just trying to get some sort of feedback.
I ordered something on 01 Nov, and thought that I completed the payment, as I always pay via credit card. However I received an email on 10 Nov, stating that I placed an order and still need to pay. I immediately made the payment and sent it to the email as per the instruction. Since then I have tried to follow up via all the channels, email, Messenger, Whatsapp, via the website. But I don't get any feedback on my order and it still reflects as not being paid on the website

My handset was finally collected (after more than a month from when I 1st logged the claim) for a cracked LCD. MTN Insurance advertises that you get a loan phone when your phone is in for repairs - this is not true as I have asked on numerous occassions and was told that they do not have any phones. I was told it will be a maximum of 5 days for my phone to be repaired but it has now been 11 business days with no feedback. None of my emails are returned. When I phone and hold for a consultant I am being cut off after waiting for some time. I managed to speak to a consultant only once, and she put me on hold - after which the phone was also disconnected. How do I get hold of anybody that can assist to tell me where my phone is and when I can expect it back??
