Generally I haven't had great service from Discovery Insure but on this occasion I would like to give props to one of the consultants (Devenita) who was able to take over an ongoing query which was not resolved the first time and solved the problem. Her communication throughout the process was spot on, keeping me up to date all the time. Great stuff!
Recently visited Shaves Pinetown to buy paint for my bedroom. Really got great service from a young gentleman named Samkelo. Assisted me with the choice of colour and even though after applying the paint I wasn't happy with the colour, he was ever so happy to help with tweaking the colour to my satisfactory. Great customer service
I recently called in to Vodacom to change my contract to prepaid. Spoke to a gentlemen who convinced me to stay on contract, promising a great deal. 5gb of data for R79 and 100 anytime minutes for R55. This was a deal I could not pass up so I signed on. The guy kept on telling me that they had a system issue so will call me when everything was sorted. No phone call came. On the 30th of September I called Vodacom to confirm. Apparently the 5gb was loaded but not the minutes. I spoke to Mihlali who didn't want to disclose her surname, who said this matter will be escalated and a manager will go through the telephone call to confirm what I was promised, then get back to me within 48 hours. I still have not received a call. My wife uses the contract and has not been able to make calls to her clients as she currently runs her own business. I did not want to have to complain on this platform but the thought of waiting an hour to get hold of someone when I call frustrated me as this is how long I waited when I called on the 30th of September.
On the 20th I made 3 eft payments. R200, R100 and R200. The last deposit did not reflect. I called and was asked to send proof of payment which I did. Just to test the account I eft'd R65 which didn't reflect. Constant emails to them proved futile. I even submitted my bank statement to show proof. I even received an email to ask me whether I was happy with the service. Obviously they don't take customer care seriously. I have been a loyal customer for years. I am now afraid to make any further payments as it may not reflect. The question for me is, where is this money being deposited to. Hollywoodbets account number 4698287
I recently changed my vehicle and required insurance on the new vehicle. The process that followed was supposed to have been a simple one yet Discovery Insure managed to mess it up. My wife's car which is on my policy was removed from Vitality drive. Not sure why? I never asked for any changes on her vehicle. Since October last year my broker has been back and forth trying to resolve the issue. I, myself have tried contacting them with no help. I have lost out on drive rewards along with cash backs as my status has now reverted to blue again after completing all the necessary assessments. Her vehicle status was on diamond prior to these issues. I also had issues where Discovery Insure debited my account for no reason but that's a story for another day. Service is absolutely pathetic. Just recently I sent an email to one of the managers, Andiswa who said she will get back to me ASAP but I'm still waiting.
