I got an iphone 8 plus in 2020 and insured it with Granadilla. In 2025 February my phone was lost. Not only did they harass me but even my friend was harassed by Bryte and Granadilla. They wanted a lot of documents and put me through a lengthy investigation. I had to submit proof of purchase or contract, something I had already submitted when I insured the phone with them but i was happy to provide it to them. I had to do a video explaining what transpired the day the phone was lost. I was given so many runarounds but i was still cooperative, after I had submitted everything required by Granadilla and Bryte I was asked to advise who Alberto Gracinda is, I advised them I don't know the person. I was later told that they need to investigate further since I don't know this person who supposedly blocked the phone. By the way, my phone was blocked at vodacom by a xhosa man in the Eastern Cape, I did not get his name though. A forensic company contacted me and interrogated me, after he asked for my friend's number and she was also interrogated(My friend was not even with me when my phone was lost). Mind you when I took the insurance with Granadilla I was made to believe that this is a hassle free online insurance, the energy changes when its time to claim. when the claim was finally approved, I was told they are offering a refurbished iphone 8 plus, mind you my phone was brand new when I insured it with them. It was also insured for the value of R14000 since 2020, I was told by Noluthando from Bryte that they don't pay for the value that is on the renewal contract every year. When the value of the phone declines I am supposed to advise Bryte, all along I have been paying Bryte and Granadilla R275. So basically, I was donating money to Bryte and they wouldn't reimburse me the extra that I had been paying for so many years. If you are with Bryte or Granadilla, I would advise anyone to change it now before anything happens to you and you need to claim. The last thing you need when you lose your valuables is this type of service from your insurance.

Stay away from Blackbrick, there’s no money here they are lying to people. Invest your money somewhere else. The founders are also very arrogant and don’t listen to investors . Do yourself a favor and stay away from this investment scam.
I wrote a review last week about rain deducting even after I had canceled and they collected the router. They replied and said they will fix the problem, to this day my money has not been refunded. I’m even thinking of closing my credit card that is the only way for them to stop deducting. I don’t know what is so hard about removing an account from their data base because they’re so good when it comes to adding new accounts. I don’t recommend rain because firstly, it doesn’t work and when you want to cancel they still deduct and the only way to receive any form of assistance when you want to cancel is to write a review on hello Peter. Can’t be writing reviews every month this is tedious.
Rain said they had canceled my subscription, they even took back their 5g router which was canceled due to connectivity problems but they still deducted this month. I canceled with them in January and it’s June now, they’ve been deducting since January. Don’t encourage anyone to try rain, they will tell you your subscription is canceled and still deduct.
We got rain 5g SIM card in December, it worked fine for 10 days and it stopped working after that. When we called them the said the satellite is off but they are fixing it. A few days later still in December, we called to cancel the SIM card because the internet never came back. It’s April now and Rain is still deducting every month even though we canceled in December. We call them almost every week but they’re not helpful. We are even thinking of canceling the credit card
