No words can describe how pathetic this bank is. They have lost R 270 000 odd of my money by a forex transaction that they *****ed up and have done absolutely nothing position to obtain the funds, but rather passed the blame to other entities. This bank cannot be trusted, they are inexperienced, incompetant and arrogant, stick with someone who knows what they are doing like FNB. Needless to say my tenure at Discovery Bank is over and I'm back at FNB.

Absolutely pathetic! The worst bank you could ever imagine. They are utterly incompetent and useless. They lost a month of my salary in forex transaction. More than two months later, I have made no progress, not evening reporting the matter to the ombudsman helped. They just brushed that off with their legal mumbo jumbo. They are terrible, useless and incompetent. If these types of institutions consider themselves as professionals in South Africa, this country has zero hope.
Never ever in a million years would I recommend this bank. Thank are clueless and incredibly unprofessional. Over above that I am missing a huge amount of money than they have lost and for over a month has made absolutely no attempt to find the money. Absolutely pathetic. I am taking legal action against the bank.
Although FNB did try and assist me in my case there are still major issues. Their response time to actually try and do something about your problem is way too slow, it took almost a month of complaining and only when threatening to close my accounts then someone took my seriously. Not good enough. Furthermore the outcome of the investigation was that I as the client was at a substantial loss due to money being routed incorrectly. FNB says, it is what it is. I’m sorry I don’t accept or appreciate that. I’m so disappointed, I’ve had such a good run with FNB but this is extremely disappointing and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Nedbank acted as an intermediary on a forex transaction, they have been completely unethical, dishonest and greedy. They have no right to decide what course anyones money should take and how it is delivered to the at person. There is no recourse for the end client, Nedbank does exactly what they want with zero consideration for the wake of disaster they leave for normal people trying to make a living. The banking system is disgusting and Nedbank is a key player in ensuring that remains the case.
Terrible service, they make promises they can’t keep. They stick their heads in the sand when they realise they have made a mess. They have no clue what they’re doing, especially considering Forex. Worst experience ever, promised me the world and I am worse off at Discovery Bank than I was at FNB. What a joke.
