I went to Postnet Chtsworth on 19/03/2025 at 10H50, to send a letter to a client- found the assistants outside- sunbathing, no problem with that,- also smoking **** - not too socially acceptable. Go inside to ask, was treated as a nuisance to their leisure. Then was asked who am I sending the letter to, after charging me R180, just to sent 2 pages... but ok,, Company rules... then, she could not even spell, another lady had to spell for her, then she asks Company name, without clarifying whether I'm sending to a company or a person. I thought she's asking my company name- I gave her the name- she puts the receiver's phone number and lists my company as the receiver...... very unfriendly, arrogant, illiterate, unprofessional and unhelpful.
I am Unemployed, living below the breadline and have made enquiries at the Durban, Springfield Park SPCA regarding the spaying of a dog I have rescued from people who were taking her for a fight show. I spoke with a very helpful person, Bongani a few weeks ago who quoted me R1040 or R1260 to do this. Today, when I have made arrangements to collect this money, I send an email as instructed by Bongani, then I get a call from a Priscilla who tells me in no uncertain terms, that they will not give a discount for unemployed people and that they will have to charge me R280 for the injections and a further R1300 for the spaying. She was not even friendly or trying to see how to help. Just rude, take it or leave it attitude. Terrible for a so called "Care" society.
On 31/08/2022, I purchased a R149 PM Month to Month Telkom SIM card at the Chatsworth Centre, KZN, Branch. I informed the lady that I do not receive a monthly salary but earn pure commission , hence I'm looking for a Month to Month. I paid R149 in September, October, November and December. Then in January, I had an invoice paying only around the 5th, so I paid Telkom via EFT, and then the same happened in February, and I again paid them. So effectively, they DID get paid every month, except the means were different. Also, I did not use ANY data without it being paid for as I had carry overs from the previous month which was paid for. On 24 March 2023, I got an SMS that they debited my account and as a DEBIT ORDER... I immediately went to my bank and put a stop payment and reversed it, as I had not authorized a R351.70 DEBIT ORDER to Telkom. Then I went back to the Branch where I purchased this SIM card- Opposite the Checkers at Chatsworth Centre, and they checked and informed meThe date for their debit was the last day of the month, not ANYTIME they felt like it. that it was a PENALTY FEE for the unpaid Debit order.... How does that work out with MONTH TO MONTH - the other service providers I use NEVER EVER charge me ANY PENALTY for missing any payment, Also, they just used Debit order as their reference instaed of Penalty fees... This means that they have helped themselves to funds that don't belong to them. Furthermore, I met my OBLIGATION, even though the debit order did not go through. I then asked the assistant at Telkom to book a call with their Legal Department which he tried to do on a screen at the front of the outlet... He promised that I would get a call within the hour... It is now 3 Days. Still no call, and my SIM card is now not working, and I'm using the other service provider's internet to do this note... SHODDY SERVICE and DOUBLE STANDARDS... All my friends and family told me DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH TELKOM- THEY ARE A RIP OFF--- I said, I will support a South African Brand, But it seems like Telkom doesn't bother about loyalty or customer service. I'm putting this on here, still kinda hoping to support an SA brand... I went back to the same store yesterday around 1 PM and was served by a terribly rude, arrogant lady who was chatting with everybody whilst answering my query. I realised I was going nowhere as she just insisted that this amount HAS to be paid before my sim card ( with paid Data ) will be opened . I got fed up and left. I went to another store, upstairs and was politely spoken to and explained in detail about how their debit order works, which was NOT done on opening this data only MONTH TO MONTH sim. If it was explained, I would NEVER have opted for a debit order as I earn my money via my invoices. Even If they want to charge a late payment penalty, They could say, let's call and explain, then come to an agreement with the client, maybe a fine of even R50 for the two late payments- NOT NON Payments... In this day of Technology and communication- Don't they have Common Sense?
I went to the Chatsworth Centre Shoprite on 22 November. The service at the tills are very slow, every time we go there, it is extremely slow and unfriendly. The cashiers are also quite racist and make rude comments in their languages. This is what I experienced for the 100th time on the 22nd, and so decided to write about it.
I saw an advert for a 6 Pack milk at Spar for R69.99 on Tuesday Afternoon. I went there specifically for that on Wednesday Morning. Didn't have transport, so paid petrol and hired a car. When I got there, I looked for this item and was told by a very Uncaring, Unprofessional personal that it had " Sold Out"... How come they advertised something that they had no stock of and run out in under 24 Hours of a "Special Offer going live... This is ALWAYS happening at this store... Pathetic.
