Paid my dividends, my only income from my life pension investment 3 days too late in August. This month was due today. They now inform me they will transfer after 13h00. To now no confirmation. As per my Financial Adviser my investment should at least be R5million fir this Company to treat me like a customer. Anything less you will be treated badly.

Assisted me with a settlement from Guardrisk and OOBA, who initially rejected a claim.
This business phoned me in 2022 informing me my decoder will soon be outdated and unusable. After several, 1000's of emails I still don't have their VAT number. They charged me +R4800 for dstv box only. At the time they claimed to have been from OnAirDSTV. Please don't do business with this Company. They are charging almost 3 x times what a box costs and refuses to provide VAT numbers. I pay rental and my subscription separately to Multichoice.
After numerous requests for feedback from Guardrisk and OOBA, after a flush storm in the Margate area, I am still non the wiser as to the exact damage caused, what was claimed, what was rejected after a site visit to the premises by their appointed accessor/ contractor. A technical respresentative working for OOBA Insurance, or 4-sure net, or Guardrisk phoned me on the 16th May offering me cash for the gate motor, amount not mentioned, which I asked to be placed on hold untill I receive feedback from them and Standard Bank's risk and valuation dept. re exact details what was claimed, details of rejection, more info on the wear and tear and specs to qualify for such a claim for drainage in yard and on municipality property, ie gate entrance and pavement area. Feedback from Guardrisk was due at cob yesterday. They did not respond in writing. I in turn at about 17h00 yesterday sent Lindi from Guardrisk another e-mail, in response I received an automated out of office response referring me back to the techhnical e-mail address. Also received an e-mail from the Ombudsman, to submit documentation to them no later than 6 June, in which event I can't claim for anything. In the meantime I am exceptionally concerned about this propertyl financed by.OOBA AND STANDARD BANK Nobody Is respondimg at any of the Organisations mentionrd and I am not sure if and what I am covered for. Standard Bank sent a resprenstative to the property and no feedback and, or report received to date from them
After about 4 weeks of sending them several emails for exact details of what I claimed for and writing reviews abour them and their underwriters I received a phone call informing me they will pay me Cash, amount not mentioned for the gate motor only, I was unaware that the gate motor was included in a report, or claim. Still saw bo paperwork and, or report. Still waiting for feedback re what was claimed. According to a representative from Standard Bank, r appointed by their Risk Dept who visited the site on Thursday and valuated the property after a thotough inspection there is more than adequate drainage. However maybe not to protect the birck and gate motior and driveway area from a once in a 100 years flush storm, followed by a very heavy storm the next daus and 2 more days of rain. I have asked them to keep their offer on hold as I am waiting for the report from Standard Bank. Their reason for rejecting a claim without any quote and or details as per their rejection ketter, drainage abd wear and tear? The driveway area outside this property shows clear signs of excessive water running down a hilled street onto my property. A concrete slab moved which was caused by the force of the water and it tilted and moved slightly. That area also damaged.
OOBA and Guardrisk, one and the same Insurer. After about 4 weeks of pleading with them for information about findings from their assessor, appointed by them viewing flush storm damage at my property, they yet again mailed me a template response with a copy of my Insurance policy, informing me Im a valued client. Till this day they still did not tell me what I claimed for, I have no clue. Specs for gate motor installation, brick paving, municipality pavement drainage? Drain pipes in yard unanswered with yet another template response? I have never felt so humiliated and too think without any claims from me, they increased my premiums without any explanation twice since 2022. They also arranged the pre-inspection for this property and finance.Please do not use OOBA for any insurance. They are quick to collect, quick to reject.
Acting as OOBA insurance administrators. Rejecting claims without valid reasons, and/or details, they also not respond to mails. Upon contacting OOBA you are referred to 4-sure. After a recent flush storm in the Margate area they are unable to provide actual details of reasons why they rejected a claim, no quote shared witb me, no additionsl info. Sent me a template response about wear and tear and drainage. They ignore mails and respond with "Chris please respond". Their accessor spent about 5 minutes at the premises. After numerous requests for feedback they sent me a rejected template letter.
Logged my 1st claim after the recent heavy flush storm in the Margate area. OOBA sent an accessor, after 2 reminders to them He spent 5 to 10 minutes at the property. After numerous requests re next steps to be taken I receiced a template e-mail informing me due to drainage and wear and tear the claim will not be considered. I never saw a quote. I have since, in vain requested more info from them, re required height of a gate motor, specs for the installation of a motorised gate, spces for draning systems specs for brick paving, to date no response. Their response to all mails is to refer to anotger agent with the wording "Chris please respond".
