Having purchased a vehicle some two years ago through your platform. I am extremely disappointed with your "Vetting Policy". There is a pattern of clients on Google & Hellopeter complaining about the same issue with Tonys Motors Dealership in Kempton Park. Sold as a Bank Repossession but later to discover Accident Repaired Vehicles. Your vetting policy allows these dishonest dealerships to continue to **** customers!! Stop allowing them to advertise through your platform.
I do not believe Autotrader follows up on their Vetting process. Unsure how so many clients of the same dealership Tony's Motors Kempton Park on their platform have the exact same complaint. I am one of many who were sold an "Accident Free" vehicle - only to find out the vehicle has had major repair work.
Autotrader making a fortune off "********* DEALERSHIPS!!!!". You assure the public that the dealerships that advertise are Vetted. Checks are put in place to protect you the consumer!???! Having done some research you only show 5 of the 1 star reviews of the dealership. It would be pretty useful if you actually read the reviews and see the patterns of your clients who **** people buying 'Accident Free Vehicles' yet vehicles that have had major repair work. It's all about making money Autotrader!!! You guys are enabling these ********* dealerships to rob thousands of consumers out there! The Ombudsman has a current backlog dealing with cases dated 2021!!!!!
Tony ****med me by saying NO accident to the vehicle I bought. Within the first 4 days of driving the car - I find out that it had been in a major HEAD ON collision and written off by the previous insurance company. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP WITH THEIR CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are extremely dishonest. They will not even try fix or deal with you after your purchase.
I bought a motor vehicle with an understanding that the vehicle was "Accident Free". On the 3rd day of driving the car - I noticed the air conditioner was not getting cold. I took the vehicle to Suzuki to check. Turns out the vehicle had been in a head on collision with much bigger problems. The case has been with the Ombudsman since October 2022. The matter has been referred to the Public Protector. I cannot wait any longer!!!! Who can assist me to get this matter sorted. All I am told is there is a backlog.
Currently still awaiting feedback from Standard Band Fraud Department to resolve matter - initial date of transaction reported goes back to 20-07-2022..... Better - not - faster - whatever - totally disgruntled Client.
