I responded to their advertised Toyota Corolla Quest Exclusive only to discover that it wasn't the top level specification Exclusive model but rather the base entry level vehicle that they were trying to sell. A rather ingenious and cunning ploy used to attract attention to their dealership, to then only deny any knowledge of having been aware of wrongfully advertising the vehicle as the top end specification vehicle.
I needed to add an additional item to my purchase which I had already paid for. I contacted takealot immediately after making payment for my order and before the shipment could be processed for shipment. I was told that they would be able to assist me once the process had been started and they would then cancel my original order and credit me with the full purchase price including the delivery fee. I could then add the second item to my order to avoid unnecessary additional delivery fees. Sadly, after numerous calls to their call center I was promised that they were busy processing my full refund. However they never refunded my delivery fee as promised repeatedly. "Lip service" . I added a "Red Hot Deal" from the Vodacom SA website using their App. The deals on offer included 500 minutes @ R33-00 or alternatively 250 minutes @R18-00 recurring every 30 days. This deal sounded unbelievable and incredible. When I checked my account this morning I was billed for almost 10X the advertised amount. This is false advertising and very misleading and tantamount to fraud. I have called Vodacom and emailed them to have this matter addressed as a matter of urgency. I even attached a screenshot of the deals on offer and desire them to honour their advertised deals and to reverse the incorrect amount being deducted and added to my upcoming bill.
I purchased prepaid electricity using the Vodacom App. I used my Vodabucks earned along with a cash payment to purchase a electricity prepaid voucher from Vodacom. I never received the purchased prepaid electricity voucher from Vodacom. Vodacom customer care (Vodabucks department) informed me that the problem was on their side and promised to refund me within 7 - 14 days. Sadly, almost a month later and after numerous calls to them and escalated queries nothing has materialised. Sadly Vodacom is quick to take one's money but slow to resolve issues when they are at fault..." lip service " ..should be their motto !!!
I used my vodabucks along with a cash payment to purchase prepaid electrity using the Vodacom App but never received the electrity voucher that I had paid for. Vodacom acknowledged that the fault was on their side and undertook refund me within 14 days. It has been almost a month later, several calls to them and escalated requests for a refund have been met with the proverbial " lip service " treatment ". Vodacom are quick to take one's money but don't refund or correct any wrongs from their side. So sad, yet so true!
