On 23 July 2025 I submitted a negative review (Non Stop SPAMMING On Prepaid) due to excessive SPAM and bad signal quality. I had Sidwell Makoena handle the SPAM issues, and Warren handled the Network side. Over the years, Coming out of the industry many years ago I generally found all network providers customer Care service had deteriorated. I had called Cell C numerous times in the past with un-resolved issues and bad attitude. Not this time. Sidwell & Warren handled things courteously & professionally and are an asset to Cell C. Hopefully this is a turn-around for their customer care in the future. Thank you.
We are 8 Cell C prepaid users. Besides our signal strength being totally reduced, I get non stop SPAM from Cell C. Calling or using their opt-out doesn't work. Every day I get numerous marketing junk on both mh numbers..
I purchased a 5-pack of socks from PnP Clothing N1 City, Cape Town. After 2 pairs were worn once each, they had worn badly showing wear marks. The socks were returned to PnP Clothing, Redefine Boulevard in George, where they refused to refund as it is 'underwear'. The manager didn't even acknowledge my presence and muttered "we don't return socks" and carried on with her work. This was not a return based on change of mind or wrong size, but because they are poor quality, which I shouldn't have to accept. Logging a complaint on their Customer Services (X160002379@pnp.co.za) did not help either, as they offered to refund the damaged pair, but refused to refund the unworn pairs. This is unacceptable as the quality is ******* and should be refunded for the full amount.
I had two separate deliveries done from Johannesburg to George by The Courier Guy. The first one left me disillusioned due to the condition of the parcel, but on investigation it turned out that the sender never packed the parcel properly. The Courier Guy did a professional and excellent job of getting my parcels to me safely on both occasions. Thank you.

Kobus Jacobs from A2 Plumbing quoted to fit a solar water collector @ GeyserWise. On acceptance of the quote, the guy that fitted it ended up breaking a tile, which was stuck together with a bitumen tape. I called him out on the used pump that he wanted to fit, which was eventually replaced with a new one. On completion I was told that I would receive the promised COC on final payment, which I did, but never received. A few days later the geyser stop tap burst, spraying my ceiling and flooding the floor. Kobus also dropped a large copper pipe out of the roof, which took a large sliver out of the laminate floor, and chipped the wall. I was assured by Kobus that he would replace the damaged floor laminates, but to date he hasn't kept his word. After a temporary fix, the tap was eventually replaced after a few weeks. After much nagging, I eventually received a WhatsApp from Kobus with a picture of a supposed unsigned COC from Crause Plumbing, who has never set foot on my property or carried out an inspection. Kobus has not kept his word and after the deposit was paid, started speaking to me like I was an idiot. I battled to get a response out of him, and he eventually blocked me and won't take my calls. I will be approaching Small Claims Court to recover money to fix the floor and obtain a legal COC. The few good references on social media must be from a large group of friends, but I certainly won't recommend A2 Plumbing.
I purchased a Vodacom locked Samsung, plus accessories to use as a prepaid work phone. This was based on Vodacom having a 79c prepaid plan, as apposed to the Cell C 66c prepaid plan. I ported my Cell C number, then hit a wall. Vodacom Customer Care has just informed me that the 79c option is no longer available, irrespective of what they advertise, and would now cost R1.25 per minute. That is a crazy 58% increase in price. What a waste of time and money. I could have stayed on a plan that costs half for calls.
This afternoon my family and I went to watch a Christian based movie. We haven't been to the movies for a few years, but never again. Adverts with the f-bomb over and over, then a very satanic ad, a violent and, and a local just plain bad ad. Unfortunately my children go to movies with their friends, and are apparently exposed to the same. This is disgusting and inconsiderate that Ster Kinekor would run these type of adverts at all, but especially with a Christian based movie.
We replaced our Samsung microwave with a new one (Samsung ME9114Si) purchased at Kloppers - George on 25/09/21. We returned it on 30/09/21 due to it getting excessively hot and smelling of burnt wire/bakelite. We received a replacement and immediately had the same issue, My wife continued to use it as we thought that it is an inferior product as it did not perform like our old Samsung. When the microwave started intermittently surging the houses electricity while in use, we decided to return it on 11/07/2022. We have been contacting Kloppers on a regular basis since 28/07/22 and they informed us that Samsung said that there was rust in the microwave, and that Samsung would get hold of us to discuss it. I received a few missed calls, without the phone even ringing while looking at the phone. I called back numerous times and was promised that their service department would call me on Monday, I eventually called them back before 17:00 to be promised that they would call me on Wednesday, which hasn't happened. Their lack of integrity is concerning. Kloppers don't get an answer. After calling Samsung again this afternoon, I was kept on hold without any outcome, Every person I have spoken to is incomprehensible due to poor audio quality, also only apologising and making excuses. I would never have thought that a company like Samsung rate so bad and have such sad service. This shows that management are not competent or have authority to get the job done. We have lost faith in the brand due to the lack of service, and will rather be looking at another brand.
