After my lunch at Sundown country estate Rustenburg I was supposedly driven to MeLeano guest house where I booked my accommodation through booking.com. Myself and Mr Lethabo the manager/ranger at Pilanesburg national park drove for almost 2hrs looking for MeLeano guest house which we never found. Lethabo took me back to Sundown country estate. What a polite patient fellow. Thank you Lethabo. As we were driving back he was talking to the powers that be while I was trying to contact booking.com. Line was bad I kept trying but every time I’d get cut. We got to the hotel and I was told I must go and sleep the owner says this is in the house. It was around 20:00 I was exhausted because I came from JHB, did a 9:00 safari. I appreciated the gesture but I insisted on calling booking.com. They gave up and let me use their landline. We managed to speak to an agent at booking.com. We were not getting joy. Ms Boitshoko with her experience and her know how asked Trish the agent harsh relevant questions. At some point Trish put down the phone as she didn’t have the answers. The list is endless with the great experience i received from the hotel. I’m still in disbelief. From Mr Antony (MoAfrica Tours) Mr Kalman,, Mr Lethabo(Ranger), Ms Boitshoko,Ms Ally, Mr Joshua and Mr Christo. I can’t thank you enough for your great hospitality and help. Taking up the mess that was not your making is still unbelievable to me. You were my God’s sent. I recommend MoAfrica, Pilanesburg national park and Sundown country estate to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience!
I traveled from Johannesburg to Pilanesburg with MoAFrica Tours. I must also mention that it was a last minute arrangement with them. Anthony willingly assisted me all the way with my booking. Thank you. Pick up was 05:30-05:45. At 05:17 Clement was outside. What a well informed tour guide/driver. We collected other guests in Melrose Arch and in Sandton. We arrived In Pilanesburg at 8:30. Thank you Clement you are a star. Our game drive was starting at 9am. We started a bit late because other guests arrived a bit late for the drive. A very educated ranger Mr Soli Pilanesburg national park ranger took us, we had the best safari ever he was explaining everything and knew all the answers. He gave us a bit of extra time and made up for the late starting. Thank you Ntate Soli you are a legend. Because of our late arrival from the safari there was a bit of a mishap with my lunch so Clement had to mop up a few mess, from late drop offs, late collections it was really hectic for him. He dealt beautifully with pressure from the ladies at MoAfrica office, yelling customers in the bus, but oh what an even tempered man. Apologized with a smile all the way even though it was not his fault. He even came up with solutions. Eventually I was dropped off at Sundown county estate for my lunch where I received an out of this world welcome and sympathy from Mr Gordon and Boitshoko. The stuff at the restaurant was amazing and so as food. I’m definitely coming back.
I Booked a guest house called MeLeano guest house in Mogwase Northwest through booking.com. I drove 2 hours in the area looking for it I never found it. The number listed on booking.com was answered by a man who had no idea what I was talking about. He said he was from Malawi. The driver who is a local, ranger and tour guide called the same number and the phone was answered by a lady who also had no idea and sounded Venda. That was on the 21st December. As I am writing this message that guest house is still listed on booking.com page app with the same contact details even though I contacted booking.com when I couldn’t get to the property. This guest house has high reviews hence I found it interesting. Pictures looks beautiful. Is it possible that booking.com advertises accommodations without proper verification? It is not first time I used booking.com and I had never experienced anything like this.
I live in Cape Town in Gordonsbay. My car got damaged by floods late September. I reported and logged my claim on the 28th September. On the 6th October discovery approved my claim. The claim also mentioned a part in the car that they said its not part of the incident and therefore it will not be repaired🤷🏽♀️. I wrote to Natanya Williams a claims consultant to request more information about this dispute and the list of repairs to be done in my car as I don’t believe the amount they stated will repair everything. Never got a list or more information. It was dead quiet until I had to contact discovery many times for the repair date. Eventually it turned out the claim authorization was sent to Bloemfontein. Finally I got a repair date for the 20th November in Somerset West. Wrote to the manager Sheridan Luckay about all my concerns and a chance for a closer date as the car is unsafe to drive. No response from both of them. Still don’t know if they even tried to help. Communication is so bad at discovery. I am so upset and disappointed. I am no different from those with no insurance. Maybe some of us are too small for the big fish. It’s probably time to move on.
The salesman was supper good, pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable of the product. He is really one of a kind. The man who was doing my sale on the computer was just as pleasant and knowledgeable too.
