Team Red Ribbon is a company operating in Gauteng. Their business is the buying of furniture and household goods. They collect and pay on the spot, "Nothing too big or too small for us" or so they claim. My experience with them has been far from satisfactory to say the least, in fact it was by far the worst service I ever experienced. Let me explain; Elderly family members passed away a while ago and I had a lot of extra furniture cluttering my house. As Red Ribbon states on their website that they "specialize on estates I contacted them approximately 7 weeks ago. Johan arranged an appointment and Wynand rocked up at my place, late but anyway. This was a Wednesday. He had a look at all the items, one of which was a huge Oregon Pine dining room display cabinet. His parting words were" let me do my homework and come back to you on Friday with pricing". Needless to say that never happened and on the following Monday I phoned Johan again. He promised to let Wynand call me. I took Wynand,s call at 10h30 while I was shopping. He promised to call me back before 12h00 that same day. THREE WEEKS later he still did not call me back. I phoned Johan again. Again he promised to tell Wynand to call me back, which he did full of excuses. I told him that I cannot do business with people like them because they constantly do not keep their word and that they are EXTREMELY unprofessional. Last week Monday my wife contacted Johan again. She thought that possibly the people from Red Ribbon do not like me and that she might get different treatment. Johan arranged an appointment with guess who? Off course Wynand again, for between 09h00 and 12h00 on Friday 25 October. By 12h30 she sent a WhatsApp asking if they still plan to . Wynand finally arrived at approximately 16h00. He looked at the items, now mostly different from the previous lot and I give you three guesses what his parting words were!!! You are so right "Let me do my homework and come back to you not later than Mondy (28 October) It is now Wednesday (30 October) and still not a word. I rest my case. I certainly want no excuses or anything from them but I want to let everybody know that they are UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEIR WORD AND PROMISES MEANS TOTALLY NOTHING. They **** blatantly into our faces and it is most certainly a Company to AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Pity the lowest ranking is 1 star because they are much more useless than that. Where can I find a person in Standard bank that has got more than one brain cell that I can speak to? Where can I get the contact details of the bank manager at Heidelberg Mall? It is THE WORST bank I have ever dealt with!!!!!!
Just over 4 years ago I bought a Queen size bed set (base and mattress) from Restonic. It carries a 15 year warranty against faulty workmanship and materials. The mattress and base collapsed in the area where my hips are resting on the mattress and in several other places. The complete base rather looks waves on the sea instead of a flat surface. I was a huge effort just to submit a claim. Today my claim was rejected because of a "stain on the mattress. I could not believe what I read in their response. My question. what the hell has a small stain to do with a collapsed mattress and base? It is just example of a company failing to accept responsibility for poor quality products
First 4 calls to call center no willingness to assist. 5th call reached Garrick Rose. Total different story. Very helpful and assisted with my problem. Nice young man.
On Sunday 16 October 2022 I paid a holding deposit of R5000 on a caravan at the Dome branch. This was because the keys were not available and I could not view the caravan properly. There was a clear understanding that the deposit will be refunded if I was not totally satisfied, which subsequently happened and the deal was cancelled on Monday 17 October 2022. I was informed that refund will reflect in my bank within 2 to 3 days. Great was my surprise when I received a call from the Accounts department of We Buy Cars asking me why I have not paid the outstanding amount on the sale. Numerous calls to the Sales person and his manager has not resulted in the money being refunded. The only action taken by them was to change my We Buy Cars account number status from a debit amount to a credit amount.
