I purchased a A920 PRO POS Device from FNB on the 5th September 2024. On the 21st September 2025 one of my staff dropped the machine and although the machine was not damaged there was an error message on the machine: “PED Tampered” ALL KEYS HAVE BEEN CLEARED STATUS:8 I phoned FNB Merchant Services and was told the Warranty on the Machine had expired. The Warranty clause in the Contract is as follows: Warranty: The device comes with a manufacturer's warranty of 12 months, and accessories (like the charger and cable) have a 6-month warranty, starting from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in design, material, or workmanship. I accept the fact that the Warranty had expired but I have concerns that this appears to be a software not a hardware issue and if so it should be a simple task to reset the error. More importantly, I was prepared to pay for the cost of repairing the machine but FNB nor any other company will repair the machine and I am left with no alternative but to buy a new machine. I would just like to bring this to the attention of other companies that are considering purchasing this machine. You would be better off purchasing a Yoco or similar machine at half the price
A warning for any clients intending to use this company. Check the reviews on Hellopeter for MV Appliance Repairs and Appliance Guru. Same Company one man band Mind Tshabangu In March this year he replaced the PC Board on my Bosch washing machine at a cost of R3200 On the 9th May the washer stopped working again and he quoted me to replace the PC Board at the same cost. When i pointed out that he already replaced this in March he first denied this but when I sent him proof he agreed to replace it at half the cost. He replaced the card again and immediately after he left it blew again. He then refused to fix the machine added it was not covered under his advertised "Six (6) Months Guarantee On All Repairs!". Also that he is not a certified technician so he could not return the part to Bosch. I doubt he is certified by any of the brands that he advertises. I have learned my lesson to always check reviews on Hellopeter and to check if the repairer is brand certified. Appliance Guru is not registered on Google so one is not able to post reviews. In addition there is a Review page on their Website with all 5 star?? reviews but no facility to post a review.

I have been trying to make a payment for 3 Days Today I phoned theirnumber 0115604322 15 times as follows: 13:45, 13:46, 13:47, 13: 48, 13:49 No Answer 13:50 Rings 13:51 call dropped 13:52 No Answer 13:53 Rings 13:54 Call Dropped 13:55, 13:56 No Answer 13:57 Rings 13:58 call Dropped 13:59 No Answer 14:00 Got through to Thabo – He says there is a Network problem and promptly drops the call. I then tried their on-line facility Quick Pay – Syntax error View your Account – Just hangs “Loading” Self Service Login – Just hangs – “Loading” Furthermore their published email info@mbdinc.co.za does not exist. This is absolutely disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is obvious that MBD do not want their clients to settle their debts as they would rather carry on and accrue Interest and other charges. Should I have no response within 24 hours I intend to lodge a complaint with the National Credit Regulator, the Ombudsman and the NCC. Please also advise if MBD is registered with the CFDC.
Still unable to submit Declarations since beginning of April "We were unable to get your returns. Please check back later." When you search UIF in Google the following is the response which is spot on: "Systemic Failures and Delays: The UIF has a history of operational and administrative challenges, including delays in processing claims, backlogs, and inefficient staff. " These problems have been ongoing for years and it appears that the Minister, Departmental Heads, Managers and Staff are all incapable of adressing these issues. Is it not time the government disbanded this organistaion and incorporate the collection and payment of UIF into the efficient SARS system. Employers already make their UIF payments to SARS.
System down yet again ERROR Exception Ocurred This is not an Exception it is the Rule!
