Suzanne at the Kloof Branch was absolutely wonderful with my very elderly Dad yesterday. He had blocked his card due to having Parkinsons and not being able to enter his pin properly. She was also able to help get authorization through our private banker to link the business account and loaded beneficiaries. She was so incredibly patient with him and so kind. She spent almost an hour with us sorting out everything. It was really old fashioned personal attention and he now feels that he has a real human at the bank to help him. She is amazing!
I would like to compliment Britany, Nolan and Jean at Hearing Aid Labs Kloof for the brilliant and professional service they provided. Above all they have been exceptionally kind to my 88 year old Mom who was very against getting a hearing aid. We ended up buying a 2nd hand device which they were happy to service and personalize for her. It meant a huge amount to us. They are not just about making money but are all about the welfare of their patients. A truly wonderful team!
Hillcrest Surgical Unit has the most compassionate and kind doctors. We are literally there weekly, between my very elderly parents and my 2 sporty children we have had fractures set, stitches given, and just been kindly consulted when elderly parents have infections. They always treat first and dont even worry about payment upfront- their priority is always the patients.
I am at the end of my tether with my very elderly Dad's medical aid. Dad is 83 years old and suffers from quite severe Parkinsons. He has been with Cape Medical Plan since 1976, which I suspect is longer than most of the employees have been alive! The company was bought out some time in the late 90's but Dad stayed on as a customer. For the last 10 years he was on the top of the range package paying just over R16 000 per month for he and my 88 year old Mom. In January this year, (on their advice) he moved to a hospital plan which costs R6400 per month. Recently Dad attended a dentist who has said that about 10 of his teeth need to be removed due to rotting and an abscess at the back of his mouth. The dentist took X rays and referred us to a Maxillofacial surgeon at Busamed Hillcrest hospital. We made an appointment and saw the surgeon. He did an assessment and recommended Dad have surgery to remove 4 roots and 5 teeth (of course in theatre- given his age and frailty) However when I contacted Cape Medical plan they have told me that 1) They do not have Hillcrest Busamed as one of their providers and will not be paying for any surgery or stay or anything done at that hospital 2) They will only pay for the root removal of the teeth, not the additional teeth that need to be removed. The total quote for the surgery came in at R10 000, and they will only cover around half of that. In other words, they expect 83 year old Dad to go and have the other teeth removed in a chair on 5 additional days. 3) Dad no longer drives so we now need to start the entire process again at massive expense and time to consult with a different doctor who works at a hospital of their choice which is at least 20km away from where he lives. It is highly inconvenient for us all to get him there for both the appointments and the surgery. 4) I have called his Gap cover but they have advised that it is very unwise to pay for the hospital upfront ourselves (who will require a deposit of around R120 000), as there is no guarantee that the medical aid or themselves will cover it once the procedure is completed. I really feel that with him having been of the age he is as well as having been a member for just under 50 years that this is the most shocking treatment of an elderly client.
Audi center Pinetown is absolutely wonderful. When ever I have an issue it is resolved virtually immediately, with them collecting me and dropping me off at home afterwards. Their technical team is very professional but its their customer service advisors who particularly shine. Siobhan is the best person in the automotive industry I have ever dealt with. They keep you updated every step of the way with your cars progress. I will definitely keep buying Audi's.
I am blown away by the service provided by Getwine. I sent my Dad a few cases of wine for his 80th Birthday and asked that it be delivered on a specific date, about 10 days ahead of the order. I also asked them for help with a personal wine label which they helped me design really nicely at no charge for the design work. Everything was done perfectly, so great to get that help as I am in another city.
I am blown away by Dotsure.co.za's service. This was my first claim for my low end package for my German Shephard puppy. My claim was settled within an hour of submission and they even sent a get well card for my Dog. How amazing is that.
I have been beyond impressed with Kim Cader of Flight Centre in Kloof (now Pavillion). We booked a complicated Greek trip which of course had to be cancelled and postponed due to Covid 19. She kept in touch every step of the way and has given me 3 options to change my tickets. I really feel comfortable that she knows "her stuff" and has allowed me numerous ways of contacting her from her cell phone, email and land line. She also called me back when the ticket prices went down, so was always looking after my best interests.
