It is advisable to avoid SMG Cape Town City when purchasing a pre-owned car, and instead seek out alternative dealerships. The establishment's reputation does not align with the standards expected of a BMW dealership, and the lack of transparency regarding the condition of purchased vehicles is concerning. Furthermore, the treatment of hardworking individuals and failure to address costly mechanical issues is unacceptable. It is important to exercise caution when dealing with this dealership, as they have displayed ********* behavior. Additionally, there are indications of potential ************** based on socioeconomic status and ethnicity. Despite returning the defective car, there has been ongoing difficulty in obtaining a refund from SMG Cape Town City. Caution should be exercised when engaging with this organization, as it appears that they may take advantage of individuals, particularly considering potential weaknesses within the legal system.
For individuals considering the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle from BMW SMG on Heerengracht Street in Cape Town, it is recommended to request all documentation pertaining to the specific vehicle. It is advisable to inquire about the inspection report from an authorized dealer of the car, rather than relying solely on information provided by an independent technician. It has been observed that there may be a tendency to conveniently omit details regarding any faults with the car, particularly in dealings with non-white individuals. It is advised to exercise caution with MiOSA, as they may align with the party possessing the most influence. Refrain from signing any documentation, and should any hesitations or concerns arise, it is prudent to reconsider the purchase.
I concur with individuals who have had or are currently experiencing negative encounters with ********* motor dealerships. It appears that MIOSA does not prioritize consumer welfare, instead favoring the dealerships, despite clear evidence incriminating the dealer. It seems that the adage "cash is king" holds true, as *******ion appears to be pervasive.
I'm deeply disappointed in BMW SMG Heeringracht str Cape town, especially in the salesman Jody, which I thought was a upstanding, man of his word,a person with integrity, trusted what he sold us ,the idea of a car that was supposed to be in tip top condition. *************, unreliable,I'm so furious at myself for not following my gut instinct, it was lies from bet go to the end, they **** about the fender bender, that the car was most probably in,coz there was double paint on plastic area infront ,that's y the sensor keeps going off when car comes to stand still, they(Jody and his manager Kent) said it was just a loose wire or plug,Jody didnt tell us about the oil sweat on engine, which we found out much later, there was problems with turbo, which we wasnt notified about,as well as oil separator..the car had cosmetic faults as well, which they fix so-so..the engine light went on 2nd time I went to fetch car, when I asked about it,Jody said if it doesn't affect the cars performance then theres nothing to worry about..nothing to worry about,on a Mercedes Benz a45??..go fly a kite!!.After 7 whole days of the vehicle being in our possession we returned it to bmw smg cape town. Now we battle with them to refund us.We talked to the pre owned manager ,Kent, but I guess birds of a feather flock together..now Absa Midrand harrases us the whole time about payment we have to do on a car we dont even have, its at bmw.why cant bmw sort out the bank, seeing that bmw arranged the financing.?anyway.. charletons. If any one think of buying 2nd hand ,ask for dekra or some sort of report on vehicle, we had to wait after we returned the car to find out that most probs on car was picked up in a report done by bmw independent party a few months prior to the sale, and we were not notified about it. if we had to know about even just the oil sweat,we would've walked away from the sale.To thing BMW one of the top car companies, sale people could be so heartless to con good people like us out of our hard earned money and still expect us to pay for what was fixed on the car(cosmetics)..we got hold of ombudsman ,n now we waiting on an outcome..next step would probably be legal action..
