I asked at the Table Bay Mall store to purchase an iphone 17 the day after release and was told to use the istore app. I followed THEIR process - and received notification on Friday 17th Oct at 5pm that the phone was available at the TableBay store. I went to collect it at 13h00 on Saturday 18th - and was told tough luck it had been allocated to someone else. Basically istore expect you to camp outside their store 24*7 incase your phone becomes available - alternatively you need to pay the store manager a bribe to get your allocated phone - Great going istore!
I made a booking for 3 people - cost R47,000. I authenticated the payment from within my banking app - and when it returned to the Travelstart site, it said the booking had failed. When I queried it with my bank, they provided proof that the payment had been successful. Travelstart response was 'System error' and 'my bank declined'. Use this service at your own risk
I ordered and paid for a wind turbine - it eventually arrived several months later. when I ordered an additional component - 10 months later it did not arrive. Do not use/trust them - rather find a local company and chat to someone to see if the company is legit. do you homework
Xero offer a 3 month trial period - but invoice you regardless from day 1. When querying the invoice they claim that it is only valid if a promo code (which isnt sent) is used. go figure - Nice business model
Investec launched their new 'secure' in-app authentication protocol - but dont consider any online payment gateway. Now they say 'sorry' - but dont rollback the new release. No-one who choses to bank at investec can use Takealot, Snapscan, Zapper, Payfast or any digital gateway. Did Investec really not think about this? Embarrasing!
Discovery Bank Administration is a complete shambles - Why would I trust them with my money? Regardless of a shambolic admin process I have submitted my FICA Proof of address twice and had my account locked. I have now been phoned and told to upload my proof of address or they will lock my account (not sure how they lock a locked account). I don't think they actually have a clue as to their own systems/processes.
Discovery Bank FICA process is a profound mess. I've been asked four times for the same FICA docs in the space of 4 hours - with no feedback possible from Discovery as to the issue. Apparently I should guess as to why their FICA process is not successful. I'm not so sure I'd be in a rush to trust them with by daily transactional banking
