We experienced a wonderful 2 hour boat trip on the Klein River, Stanford, Western Cape. The boat trip was skippered by Chantelle who briefed us before the trip and who skippered the boat expertly and considerately. Vitality gave us interesting commentary on the birdlife along the river. The maximum number of passengers is 12 which is a pleasant number. There is a charcoal braai on board and the boat stops halfway for those who wish to swim.
JVC Smart TV LT-32N750D I do not think you should purchase this make. Their Netflix app is out of date but you cannot update it according to the JVC manual. They, JVC, warn you not to update, they say it will cause problems with Netflix. (I have seen a comment on Hello Peter that Netflix no longer supply JVC with the latest updates to their TV systems as JVC have not kept their licence up to date but l don't know if this is true.) My Netflix will only operate with the mouse function on the remote, it is very, veryslow, l cannot scroll with Netflix on this TV but can with Showmax Google TV, Prime, Utube and the others. There are many adverse comments on social media about JVC Smart TVs, mainly concerning Netflix but also regarding a number of other serious problems such as sound stopped working, screen freezes, etc.. I phoned JVC Head Office to ask for help in scrolling on Netflix. They told me l must go to TV repairers, 'JVC do not provide technical support or advice'. As Netflix is one of the most popular and affordable packages it is very likely to be widely used by many people and they will be very frustrated on JVC Smart TVs. We are able to use Netflix but look for programmes on our phones as it is easier to search there and then type in the name on the JVC search function with the mouse which takes time. This is not our previous experience with the Xiaomi box. The picture is good and the Sound good so far.

Handorf Construction cc, operating out of Paarl in the Western Cape, have just completed renovation work at two of our houses in Herm****. The work was completed in the time frame agreed on, which was five weeks. This work involved repairing ceilings, upgrading kitchen drawers, building a new reinforced concrete support for a Jojo tank, making an external ramp non-slip in wet weather for wheel chair access, modernizing an old bathroom with all new components, (bath, basin, toilet, floor tiles, towel rails, plumbing, paint.) retiling kitchen and dining area, fitting new facia boards, rehanging cupboard doors, painting and general maintenance. The team of workers have been with him for years and are skilled workmen, very polite, kept the premises tidy at all times and were a pleasure to have on site. Mr Handorf, trained in Germany, is thorough, professional and approachable with a 'can do' attitude. His knowledge and experience show with his suggestions of creative solutions to various problems. The work was finished on time, within budget and the properties left spotlessly clean. On a previous occassion Mr Handorf has installed two fire places in our home. They both work efficiently. Very good service from all staff. However, telephone portal not easy when claiming for non accident related aspect such as lost keys, you have to go to claims for accident and then are asked to submit photographs. You are asked for the time you lost your keys! We're there witnesses! Another aspect that causes some confusion with staff and client is where the person paying for the policy is not he insured and the insured does not have email. This makes it difficult to sign into app. I eventually got it to work using my email and insured I'd to sign in. Last comment about system is that it appears that the process takes you through at least 4 people, (process not complete yet), you are just feeling you have successfully lodged a claim when you are passed to the next person and go through most of the questions again! Otherwise good experience, all staff very pleasant, say they will call back and they do. Emma Meyer very thorough as we're the others but cannot remember all the names.
Be very careful with this crowd. They ask you to register saying there will be a R15 charge to register, refundable. You register and you are charged R599 for annual subscription. You say you didn't subscribe but they say it was in the form you filled in to register. You can cancell from next month!

We bought an inverter and batteries from ACDC Express Herm****. We experienced some problems with the inverter. The staff were most helpful and when we took it back in for the third time, Dimitri said this is nonsense and unacceptable and replaced the inverter on the spot with another model which is functioning well. It was excellent customer service and the new inverter came with all the paper work and the full guarantee. Good service, pleasant people, well handled.
