I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Standard Bank regarding my student loan account. I would like to mention that Seithati from the Standard Bank Facebook page was very helpful in assisting me. She advised me to email the insurance team to cancel the insurance linked to my loan. I followed her instructions and sent the email as advised. However, despite doing so, I have received a resoponse that someone will contact me, however i have received no direct contact from the insurance team and no one has contacted me to assist further. My main concern is that despite monthly deductions from my salary, the loan balance does not decrease significantly. I need better accessibility of information regarding my loan so that I can effectively manage and monitor my loan repayments. Even more concerning is that on my Standard Bank app, the loan reflects a balance of R0.00, which is clearly incorrect. This makes it impossible for me to properly track my finances. I have had to sent numerous emails requesting statements previously of my loan balance and payment history previously without luck, i however was only assisted upon my facebook post. I urgently require: Assistance with cancelling the loan insurance An accurate and updated loan balance on my banking app It is extremely exhausting having to send emails without much responces and calling requires money when you wait in line. I am posting this in the hope that someone from Standard Bank will urgently intervene and resolve these issues so that I can manage my finances effectively.
I am very disappointed with the service I have received from Standard Bank regarding my study loan. i am looking to receive monthly statements to my email for my study loan, how difficult can this be After struggling to get ahold of them assist me to arrange payment back I was eventually able to arrange payment, but it took an unreasonably long time to get assistance. I have not been receiving any monthly statements reflecting my loan balance. I have sent numerous emails with no response, contacted Standard Bank on Facebook (where I was promised a call back that never happened), when it did, i was contacted by an agent Seithati who just breifly spoke to me asking me to verify myself and then disappeared on the line / left me on hold and even i previously visited a branch where I was told the issue was resolved. To date, nothing has changed. My study loan does not reflect correctly on the banking app and only shows 0.00, which is incorrect. I have also spent money calling the bank with no resolution. I am requesting that my account be corrected urgently and that monthly statements be sent to me without fail.
Stuck at an airport , without a ticket cnnot reschedule my flight because i cannot contact travel start their number wont go through , ill end up getting arrested for over staying at a country im not permitted to over stay due to failure to contact travel start. this is the best shop ever, i ordered skateboards from them, the courier I had an incredible experience with Baseline. over 25,000 Rands spent booking a flight through Travel Start, and sad on bits of it. The app has glitches that I cannot make any changes to my flight. Every time I try to make updates, the app either freezes, says request already sent, and i struggle to make chances to my return flight or doesn’t respond at all. I spend periods of time on hold trying to reach customer service, but I am either disconnected or without any resolution. All the while, I am wasting more and more money on airtime, which only adds to my sadness. What makes this even worse is that there is no clarity or support when I need assistance with flight changes. It is extremely hard to get a straightforward answer or call someone who can assist me directly instead of an automatic email, and now I have no choice but to forfeit the money I spent on the flight because I cannot change the dates. I feel completely let down and will not advice on use this service again. For anyone considering
loosing plus 24000.00 of flights simply because i am not receiving any assistance on changing my flights with travel start, the app is malfunctioning and no one is calling me to assist with this query, spending more money on endless cal and waiting on the line only to not have any assistance, this exceeds to plus 25000.00 spent on travel reservations and hotel bookings,
Complete Disappointment – Lost Money, No Refund, No Communication! I am absolutely saddened with the service (or rather, lack thereof) I’ve received from FlySafair. On December 9, 2024 my flight was cancelled at the last minute, and I was told at the airport that I would be refunded if I provided my details. I did so promptly and was assured everything would be taken care of. Fast forward over a month later another year, and I’ve heard nothing. No refund, no updates, nothing at all. The lack of communication is appalling. I’ve spent more money on countless hours calling your customer service line, only to be left redirected without any resolution/ on waiting . Not only did I lose the cost of my flight, but due to this cancellation, I also lost money on hotel bookings reservations and crucial visa appointments a total loss exceeding 10000 rands of loss in just a day This situation has caused major financial distress and inconvenience, and frankly, after queing for hours with many other disappointed customers I was promised a refund, provided my details, yet here I am, out of pocket, with no response and no solution in sight. I am deeply dissatisfied with the lack of customer service and the total disregard for hard-earned money, and having to try make more financial arrangements due to last minute flight cancellation. No provision with a proper point of contact who can take this further.
Travel start gave me a broken payment link, and i have to forfeight 23000 rands of money from rescheduling a booked flight, worst if all they dont pick up their lines and i cannot reach them anywhere, a payment link that doesnt work at all?
After endless attempts spending so much money on airtime of trying to reach mtn call centre without luck, waiting in the line for long time and unable to roam from another country, cannot receive any help, i am struggling to roam from an international country, and need help from mtn,, unfortunately i have to work and receive otps and sms notifications from my work, important work stuff, and my banking confirmations otps, i cant approve anything , i cannot work because of this. And let alone i am not finding any one to assist me from afar with this from mtn .
I have Spend 20 thousands of rands on tickets for flight from sa to US using travel start, unfortunately, i dont want to cancel but want to reschedule due to visa issues. My supposed flight should be 16-27 jan , however i want to posphone to 13-23 feb, i downloaded the app trying to initiate new dates without luck , the app glitches, worried to loose so much money i have been trying to get ahold of travel start, no responses they dont pickup calls , Ive spend hundreds of rands money on airtime but they dont pickup, i send messages on their online form and instagram no responses, how are we supposed to. Make new initeary and or pay any additional charges if no communication from them on
