I received a call by Takealot on the morning of 3 Oct, Saturday that they are unable to deliver parcel as nobody home. Takealot courier guy promised to come back at 18h00 on same day. At 15h07 I received an email confirming delivery. No parcel was ever delivered and I have lost thousands rands because of courier theft? What recourse do I Have? I logged a complaint on the website and waiting on a reply from Superbalist.

Since my inception of starting my debt free journey, I have been updated all the way and the transparency shown is commendable! Melissa Taljaard and Portia has been amazing and patient with all questions posed to them.
Unfortunately, I have yo choose a star and a no star would suffice the exceptionally bad service I am receiving from Old Mutual. I started the transfer of my preservation fund from Stanlib to Old Mutual on the 5th September 2024. Stanlib has sent the confirmation to myself as well as Old Mutual, that the monies were paid to Old Mutual on 21st January 2025. To date!! Old Mutual has not been able to confirm with me that they have received the monies, even though the Proof of Deposit was submitted. I have received radio silence from Old Mutual, and the broker with whom I am dealing with is unable to give me any answers to this, as he claims he is struggling with internal policies as well. Now, I am losing out on the growth value of my investment since January 2025. I have to continuously call in to the broker asking for feedback, because if I do not, that money will sit in Limbo for years to come as nobody is interested in assisting the very masses who keeps their business afloat. OLD MUTUAL IS SHOCKING!!!! I hope this review will help many people out there who is considering using Old Mutual to trust an invest in. DO NOT DO INVEST WITH OLD MUTUAL!!!!!

Dealing with the Cape Town branch in Rylands has been a very disappointing experience 🥹 I paid for flights from Cape Town to Greece ( we arranged our own accommodation and transfers) which went off without a hitch. On our return from Athens to Istanbul, the seams started to fall apart 🙄🥹 we booked the transfers to be included for pick up and drop off, but was met in Istanbul without any transfers. I weaved amongst the taxi company’s asking if they would be our pick up? But to no avail. We waited for over an hour and with no calls or our names on a board. We then had to pay for our own transfer to the hotel eventually. I have requested for my refund fr Mithas Travel in Rylands Cape Town, but am still waiting since the 2nd October and no response to date. We had to start the process of requesting confirmation of transfers etc to not be caught off guard again, which helped us. I am now in Atillas Cave Hotel,which is advertised as having a Turkish Bath + Jacuzzi. Upon asking the staff who can hardly speak English, I was informed that they do not own one at all? We will have to travel 10km on a winding road to Goreme to experience a Turkish Spa Bath😱 there are no restaurants anywhere close to this Hotel either, so would have appreciated being made aware of this so that I could have paid upfront for the dinners and lunches if needed😤 The online pricing to the museums and sites are hugely expensive , and the ones I booked online did not include the entry fees. Wish this was communicated so that I could have been aware of what to expect. Just disappointed with my first trip to Turkey and to let you all know out there what to look out for when making a booking for a trip to Cappadocia. Be prepared to spend a lot of money!
After much back and forth with this ''business'', their admin hygiene is so messy that they have no clue on how to follow up on carpets return to do a credit refund. As per my previous post, communication is still lacking. They refunded one of the two purchased and it is now a constant fight for my credit on the last one owing to me. R2266.00 is an amount that they are not willing to honor? I WILL NEVER EVER DEAL with these companies starting a business in a new country and then messing people around who were honest and upfront with the purchase, but when incorrect goods are sent, they will not assist with the processing of refunding. They were quick on the ball with delivery, even quicker to collect, but once they have their goods back, or should i say it is still mine, but is now back in their hands, they do not want to refund you monies owing.
I purchased 2 x Carpets with Kristal Carpets online. I had tried for days to get hold of them and finally someone answered the Whatsapp Profile. They apologized for having all the incorrect details on their website and Instagram Profiles. ( It has to date still not been updated) Needless to say, I was able to return the Carpets with their assistance, and now they have gone quiet on me. They are once again not answering any messages on Whatsapp. They now have the carpets which I returned because they sent the incorrect colours and selection i made, I have paid them R6000,00. BE WARNED!! They are shady and sell inferior quality carpets as well. I reside in Cape Town and they are based in Johannesburg.
I am so appalled by the lack of interest and service received by Discovery Health!! # 9699776515 - I cancelled my Medical Aid on the 30 April 2023, but my premium was deducted for the month of May via debit order off my cheque account. It is the 14th July tday, and after countless calls, and promises of my refund, I was constantly told that my bank rejected the deposit. They could take it out but could not put it back. Strange?? 2 weeks later I am told it is now an IT issue? But.... this is after I am constantly calling in for an update. Discovery Health is JUST NOT INTERESTED IN PAYING BACK ANY MONIES!! Not one person has bothered to call me to keep me updated as to what the issue is and what the status is currently. If I leave this be, I will never get my money back.!! IMAGINE this happens to 10 000 people on their books? @ current monthly premium costs? mmmm ?? something to think about?
