On the day March 11, 2025, around 21:00 I made an order from Fishaways Menlo Park, Pretoria, and it was picked up by Elvis (Reg. plate LB22FFGP) on a Honda @150 bike. He picked up my food not so long after, after 50 minutes of waiting for the order I check the app (around 22:00) and he was parked around the corner from the restaurant. I attempt to contact him via the built in messenger the messages go through as delivered but are never read once. I then try to contact the driver via the built in caller and he answers after a few tries but claims that he isn’t an uber employee and knows nothing of such order and tells me to never contact him again and he’s going to block me whilst also using offensive language. It’s now 23:00 and he’s still standing there. I can now assume my order is ****** as it was collected from the restaurant. I tried to contact uber directly via phone call but they have disabled that function and have they cannot be reached via their help option on the app. I’ve had many incidents like this on the uber app and reasons are because uber doesnt do any background checks on their delivery persons hence we always have issues of kidnappings etc. my one biggest issue with uber is they claim to refund me all the time but I never receive my money back, when I do it’s never in full as they keep their service costs which were never rendered to begin with. Stay away from this app, if your in South Africa rather use Mr D as it’s a Takealot owned company and can be trusted also easily reached. Uber doesn’t deserve the space it has in the South African market and it’s up to us to ensure that they never find success in it. They don’t take us serious as customers and would rather protect themselves and their delivery persons who more than half the time are ******* immigrants.
MetroFibre installed the main fibre lines in Six Fountains and they’ve been nothing but a headache. Everytime a resident has an issue, they send out a technician to fix the issue for one resident but at the same time disconnecting another residents in the process. This has been an ongoing issue, MetroFibre knows about it, their contracted technicians company is also well aware of it and nothing has been done to fix it. I today whilst driving into my yard saw a technician busy with fibre cables by my drive way and I immediately knew my internet is disconnected. I told the technician as well and he said he will fix it before he leaves (this is at 10:45am), it’s now 19:44 and I’ve called MetroFibre 6 times and no technician has been sent even after they promised they’ll ensure that the technician doesn’t leave the estate without fixing my internet. This is one of the most disgusting service providers I’ve ever come across, I’m trying to get their services removed from the estate, as they say you reap what you sow. They mistreat their customers and their confidence will be their failure. They undermine their customers, don’t value them at all in any capacity and try to make the customer feel ridiculous for behaving a particular way after they lack providing the bare minimum.

I made an order mid December 2023, and I’ve yet to receive it. It was due for delivery last week, and they only delivered half the order and I was told the other half was broken onsite due to negligence and I will receive it the following Saturday which is today and they have not called me to confirm time of delivery or that they will be delivering today. I’ve made multiple efforts to call them but they are ignoring my calls intentionally. I’ve lost my trust for them honestly because the amount you pay does not reflect the service you’ll receive.
We sourced Sabelo Mkabela to do BICs in our home. At first he comes across as someone charming and professional but don’t be fooled because that’s nothing close to the truth. After 75% completion and about 80% of payment he disappeared for a while (wasn’t taking my calls, not responding to my messages for over a month). He came back to me, asked me to pre-approve something I already had approved, promised to fit the BICs on a particular day but he yet again disappeared on the day of the set appointment. Through Twitter I learnt that he has done this multiple times and he still continues to run off with his clients funds instead of doing what he is contractually bound to do.
Sabelo Mkabela, founder of Mkabela Real Estate has been paid over 75% deposit but has not returned to finish his job, he chooses to rather disappear with our money instead of doing what he is paid for. He is filled with empty promises and is well known for Doug this to a large population of people. Thread carefully around him if you read this.
If I could I wouldn’t even give them a star. Throughout my experience with them they’ve **** to me, provided me with poorly installed and broken furniture, they left without completing snags (basically left drill makes and other parts holes larger than my hands in tv units) and always delayed. I paid them in full in andvance and they refused to return to either refund me/to finish their job. The owner Busisiwe Letebele is the one who told me explicitly that they won’t be returning regardless of whether I go to the authorities/contact my lawyer. They ****med me, took over R60k of my money and basically disappeared after doing 75% of their job. I am now having to pay someone else to do what they had to do and they still have the decency to post the furniture in my house without my consent after telling them not to.
A company owned by a female South African **** artist by the name of Busisiwe Letebele. We gave her designs for TV units, paid her in full and she did a botched job, didn’t deliver on what was agreed on and she doesn’t want to return to fix her job unless she is paid again for consultation . If you ever come across any business of hers do not work with her, protect yourself and your pocket. She is a **** artist, she will gaslight you, she has has no work etiquette and does not at all work ethically nor professionally and it shows through her work. You can go look at the review I left her on Google reviews and the photos if you would like to see what type of person you will be working for if you ever approach/if they approach you. It’s been nearly half a year since I last saw her and she still hasn’t return so I’ll be taking legal action to ensure the safety of anyone else.
