I was in the market for a Kia Seltos, so I stopped at Kia Northcliff last Friday. They didn’t want the model I wanted on the floor, so they sourced one for me from another branch. They told me on Friday afternoon it would be there for a test drive on Monday (yesterday). In the meantime they obtained a valuation on my trade in and made me an offer and collected my FICA docs. By Friday close of business they had arranged pre-approved finance. I stopped there at 15:00 yesterday, took the car for a test drive and decided to buy it. They told me I could take possession the same day! I didn’t think it was possible, but 2 hours later I picked up my car and was totally flabbergaster by the amazing team at Kia Nortcliff. Thank you Kieth, Michelle and Wilton!!
I called this morning with an enquiry on Finbond's guaranteed investment. Every time they put you through to an Investment Consultant, the call goes through to voicemail. It seems no one is working in their call centre or they don't know how to answer queries. The third time I told the person who answered about my frustration. He told me that if he transferred my call and there is no answer, my call will come back to him. But, I just landed up with someone's answering machine saying the person you are trying to reach is not available.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Willem Noordman, who was absolutely professional efficient from cradle to grave of our deal. Within 24 hours Weelee offered me 8% more than what their nearest competitor, the dealership where I bought my new car and the actual manufacturer. He collected the car at my house, settled my account with Wesbank and paid the balance into my bank account. He sent out emails to confirm our appointments and dealt with everything very confidently and professionally. All I can say is "Thank you, Willem and the Weelee team!"
On 29 April 2024, Nedgroup Inv collected my monthly debit order for my investment, as per usual. On 2 May 2024, they collected another debit order of the same amount. I received an SMS informing me of the "technical error" that caused this (and millions other clients, I suppose). Since then, no further communication until yesterday when I called the Call Centre and was told they are "working on it" and they can't confirm when clients will get their money back, and that I can write an email to complaints@nedgroupinvestments.co.za. I sent the email and received the same standard copy and paste answer that they are working on it and don't know when it will be resolved, and thanking me for my "patience and understanding". This is unacceptable. I wonder who is earning interest while this money is lying in their bank account (not just mine, probably millions of rands from all the clients who got double debited).
I ordered a Russell Hobbs Clear 15kg Ice Maker RHCIM15 on 26 June 2023 (to be in time for my wife's birthday on 10 July). Delivery was scheduled at first for 8 July 2023 (in time for her birthday). Then the delivery date was changed to 13 July 2023, which was LATE but still acceptable. Then on 13 July 2023 I received a notification that my order had been cancelled because the product was out of stock, it said my money would be refunded to me. When I inquired telephonically on Friday (14 July), the consultant who assisted me said that she can see there is stock available and she couldn't understand why my order had been cancelled. She said she would ask the person who dealt with my order to contact me - I heard NOTHING until I called again this morning only to be told the same thing. So I decided to send an email inquiry to which Leroy Merline responded they want my bank account details to refund me. If I send my bank account details it will take 48 hours. If I don't send it the normal refund process will take 7 to 10 working days. Which means they haven't even started processing my refund. What low levels of client services!!! This makes me feel like I am not worth anything to you. I feel like they don't care about how I've disappointed my wife on her birthday. I feel like the refund is saying "just go away and stop bugging us". I've always supported the Leroy Merlin store in Strubens Valley, and I loved it. Now that I deal with Leroy Merlin online I feel like I have a bitter taste in my mouth from the unpleasant experience. In addition to that, now I have to wait for another 2 days before I can get MY money. That is unacceptable client services. If a product is really out of stock, show it on your website or take it off completely.
If there has ever been a company with great products, great prices, great people and great service (pre AND post sale), then it is Your Solar SA. Marius and his team know how to take care of you! They are timely in visiting your property for an assessment of how to install, then their office personnel make an appointment with you (telephonically and confirmed in your diary), they keep you informed with regard to their movements and time of arrival, and they install professionally and neatly. I've had questions afterward wrt understanding the app and the inverter (even though both were explained to me properly LOL), they are always available to assist you right there and then. Marius and team - you are amazing!!
Our geyser burst on 9 September 2022, and we called Cassie to help us urgently. He told us what to do to limit ceiling damage, and he replaced our geyser the same day with a new one. Our insurance company was full of requirements and delaying paying our claim out. Cassie helped us with a damage report as well as a professional industry Certificate of Compliance (COC) that the insurance company insist on to process our claim. Premium Plumbing is a wonderful company with trustworthy professionals working there. They answer your calls and they reply to your mails timely. I can highly recommend them.

ABSA NDE is unnecessarily delaying the pay out of my parents' bank account proceeds after they passed away in Jan 2021 and Feb 2021 respectively from Covid-19. 1. First ABSA NDE delayed the letter renunciation so that I could become the Executor (see previous complaints here on Hellopeter.com; 2. All the relevant documents were emailed to nde@absa.africa on 29 March 2022 already. 3. I've escalated the two cases multiple times. 4. Every time that I followed up, they say "we have large volumes" and we can't give you a timeline as to when this money will be paid out. a. File ref number: 2022/46223 b. File ref number: 2022/42139 If I ever thought of re-investing the proceeds of the pay out with ABSA, I've been disillusioned by them. Let alone referring my clients and business acquaintances to ABSA NDE for Estate and Will services.
I booked holiday accommodation which was advertised on Booking.com by Ballito Agencies (27 Apr to 2 May). The ad was very clear that there was a FREE cancellation policy, if cancelled before 28 March 2022. I called Ballito Agencies before making the booking to confirm that they existed and everything was kosher - they confirmed the free cancellation policy and that if I changed my mind within 48 hours they would not collect the 50% deposit from my credit card. So I made the booking. Within 24 hours the deposit was collected from my credit card. Things then changed on my side and I decided to cancel my booking. Then I received a message from Ballito Agencies through Booking.com that they need my bank details to refund my deposit minus R400 booking fee. I called then to enquire about this, but they said Booking.com doesn't allow them stating this "non-refundable administration fee" which you do pay if you cancel your booking. Just to get the bulk of my money back, I reluctantly gave my bank account details but I would like to warn holidaymakers to be aware of this.
