I went to PE branch to engrave a Stanley mug, bought from somewhere else as ODW did not have stock. As a regular at the store, I was told to go to engraving with no mention about a double charge because it was not bought at the store. Only on payment I was told that and after some debate I under duress paid the R150 instead of R75. This misled me by not made the double cost known prior to job, exploitation in its worst form. It was a favorite shop of mine but need to review my choices, future customers be aware. My ODW card number is ODWRA66597
I bought an inverter and 2 Hubble batteries from Port Elizabeth branch on 19 August 2025 (invoice 03271839). The installation was done by a installation electrician on 21 August 2025 but determined that i battery was faulty. I returned it on 22 August 2025 and expected a simple exchange but was told by the manager that it is just under voltage and he will sort out the same day. I followed up later in day just to be told he is out of office and will return my call which he failed to do. I have send somebody there to physically follow-up and it turned out he was there all along. Now suddenly he cannot even guarantee that battery will be back by Monday. To note the invoice and website make mention of a walk-in warranty but seem this is worthless. To their credit the service and attitude of salesman was fine but his hands is tied by the manager.
Do not do investment online. The amount they quote and end result is not the same. I invested an amount and the rate quoted was 8,67% and while doing it it show 8,29% with message that senior bonus will still be added, I assuming that that will bring me back 8,67% and was shocked that after it was done and I went back to check that all is correct and was shocked to see it is only 8,19%. I requested ABSA to correct or close the investment and refund money but still waiting. It may not be a priority for them but for me it is. The investment is linked to my account 1640161635.
I recently requested upgrades for phones 0832829630 and 0781809052 and asked the consultant repeatedly about the availability of the phone I wanted. He confirmed that both the blue and black is available. On that basis I proceeded with upgrade. For weeks I heard nothing and followed-up today 12 April 2024 just to be told that they waiting for stock and that the consultant misled me. Since all their calls is recorded, the promised made can be verified. For me honesty and integrity is crucial and I do only see the opposite. Hope that Telkom can prove me wrong and deliver on promise.
I tried to downgrade my package and got stuck on the payment screen that required debit or credit card info whilst my current contract for last 2 years plus is cash in advance payment. I was met with a mixture of incompetence and unwillingness to assist and trying to defend the position with non-logical arguments. For what it is worth this is my ticket number TICKET VOX24053069. To make it even worse, VOX in my area was down for 48 hours since Sunday and is sporadically down. They not consistently reliable and the arrogance to try and resolve my issue is driving me to a new ISP.
I raised a complaint about a parcel that is stuck in their PE depot for more than a week. After raising it on this platform they responded with promise of speedy resolution, it is however only lip service. You simply can't get through to speak to a operator. The PE branch simply don't answer, just wonder how they still in business.
I am waiting for parcel 080056030306. Parcel at destination hub since 23 November 2023. Follow-up and were promised delivery by a certain date that have passed already. Worst service ever from a courier company.
