I have been trying to cancel my credit card with Absa and although they were helpful on the phone with instructions of what i had to do to do so, I have followed all the instructions to a tee and still they have not cancelled the card - now a week overdue and i have heard nothing from them. I am tired of having to call in to try and resolve a simple cancellation.
After cancelling my account due to poor network coverage - which i declared as the reason for my cancellation, i was subsequently bombarded with agent calls during my work hours trying to get me to answer survey questions to establish why i had cancelled - after i had already given them the information. This bizarrely spoken agent kept calling repeatedly, disturbing my meeting. I decided to phone and speak to management to complain, only to find that nobody ever picks up the phone at customer care. I requested a callback several times via the website and still nothing. I do not know if they have effectively cancelled my subscription even though i have asked them to do so multiple times and have received no confirmation or client care. Another example of shocking customer care in SA.
Constant outages recently and the worst customer service I have yet encountered. Their website live chat does not even work and constantly encounters errors. Now when I wish to cancel the service they tell me I will be charged for the router which is now many years old. Are these guys serious???
I am shocked by the way I have been ripped off by the forex rates of your bank. I was charged in excess of R400 for two transactions in USD on my card. This is covid times and people cannot afford to be exploited like this by non-disclosure of rates and a lack of transparency within our banking system. Very dissapointed in ABSA and will soon be closing my account.
firstly they allowed a transaction to go through on a card that was already cancelled, then when i got in touch with uber and got them to refund the amount, FNB charged it to me again! Their helpline continually disconnects me just to add to my stress and irritation.
I wouldn't trust this place as far as I could throw it!
This guy had my computer hostage for over a month. Came back with parts missing and a cracked screen after so much stress. Terrible experience!!!!!!
Paid the bill. Firstly not noted. Then no response to complaint.
I can see why this company has earned the title 'Hellkom' After waiting months for the line to be installed and after receiving no information on installation on how to activate the ADSL etc. I have now received my first bill laden with charges for services that I neither asked for, signed up for or was informed about. There are even charges for a period when the line wasn't even installed. I mean come on, are you people serious??!
I am very skeptical of the nature of the work they do in this establishment. My screen was returned cracked and no one knew 'anything' about it. Now I have to take them to court.
