Our Internet speed is beyond shocking, I have been phoning for 3 weeks to get it sorted and have wasted days on the phone and I am getting nowhere, today our speed is worse than ever My husband inadvertently switched from fibre to Vodacom LTE, which is the biggest mistake; as Vodacom cannot increase our Internet Speed I app**** for Vodacom fibre and have been declined I feel if Vodacom cannot offer us the speed we require they should automatically install fibre Vodacom service is the worst I have ever come across I was on the phone last Monday for a whole morning and spoke to ten different people, promised a phone call back which never happened I think I should cancel everything we have with Vodacom, as they obviously cannot help me and nobody knows what to do Carol Plunkett 0833027155
On the 22nd December 2025 I took my Dyson V8 cordless vacuum cleaner to Tudortech as it was not working and is like new as it has hardly been used Their technical department was closed , which is to be expected this time of year, but what was worrying I was told from now on Dyson support will only be available in Cape Town the Johannesburg office is closing, if I want my Dyson fixed they will courier it at a cost of R400 and another R400 to send it back, regardless whether they fix it or not For a top market product like Dyson the service support is shocking, I will never buy Dyson again as there is just no after service, which is important Carol Plunkett
My husband sold his company in March this year, our cell phones were linked to the business, we advised Wilson at Vodacom Cresta that we wished to have our phones moved to my personal name, we filled in forms and nothing happened, after many phone calls emails, visits to Vodacom Cresta , my husband's phone number was transferred, but not mine This has been going on for months, when I enquired why mine had not been transferred they said our old company's account was in arrears and I had to pay the account before they could transfer my phone, I paid and nothing happened, this has been going on for 3 months they said pay and they will transfer ,but it doesn't happen. The same is happening this month, the owner of the company has not paid again, Vodacom expect me to pay when my phone is only about R469, and they expect me to finance the whole company bill of R4000 before they will transfer, probably it won't happen as that is what has happened in the past, I will willingly pay for my phone, why should I be penalised for our old company being bad payers My main gripe is why every month Vodacom say pay and we will transfer your number, I pay and they do not transfer I do not wish to be part of our company, just need my number in my personal account I wish I had stayed with MTN, Vodacom are a useless company Carolyn Plunkett
I see the company never responds to complaints, but at least I can vent my frustration My husband and I have both been in hospital and unable to drive, my Fitbit watch gave up the ghost abut 2 weeks ago and I decided to order a replacement through Takealot. It arrived early to my amazement, when I opened the box, there was a cheap Casio watch inside. I have emailed and phoned many times, yesterday they collected the incorrect watch and now expect me to wait a week to ten days for either a refund or the Fitbit This is not good enough, after all it is their mistake, they should have been apologetic and I should have had a replacement the very same day, that is what other companies do As a result of their don't care attitude, I will not be using Takealot again
I booked through Booking.com for a week's stay at Casuarina Sands self catering over the Christmas period. We decided to take what we thought was luxury accommodation at R2000 a night We were bitterly disappointed, when we arrived as we couldn't get into the garge that had been allocated for us. it was a boiling hot humid day on the 21st December we immediately tried to put on the ceiling fans, and they never worked. As time went by we were even more disappointed, no decoder so no signal to watch TV, the oven never worked and we had bought frozen meals with us which go in the oven for 30 minutes The contents advertised by Booking.com were not there - no dishwasher, hairdryer, iron, toiletries, DVD player, DSTV, Tumble Drier, Tea/Coffee maker, not even one hanger to hang up your clothes We virtually only slept there and over Christmas moved out for 2 days as we had no oven The owner Susan van der Walt couldn't care less and made no amends to fix the broken items, she offered an extra night's accommodation - as if!!! and later a R1000, which is an insult Booking.com phoned us a few times and liaised with the owner, but nothing has been done I hold Booking. com accountable as it is false advertising, for R14000, you expect what you pay for and everything to be in working condition We will never use them again, we have booked many overseas trips with them in the past and was always satisfied, we expect half our money back, but as they never even reply to the 600 odd complaints, I don't hold out much hope
On the 25th April 2020 I ordered a Xiaomi Mi TV Box S from Incredible Connection, when it had not arrived after 10 days I gave them a call and was told it was not an essential item during lockdown, I cancelled my order and was assured my credit card would be credited - I ordered it elsewhere and it was delivered within 10 days It is now a month later and I still have not been reimbursed my R1499, after many messages, phone calls and emails, even going to Incredible Connection in Cresta Their service is shocking, and they have stolen my money from me Carol Plunkett
