I can't believe here in Robertson they take customers for a ride; my friend pays for wireless over R700 for 5 megs per second, Its daylight *******. I told my friend to look at Herotell packages, much better and more reliable. They take uneducated people for a ride.
I had an old Tube TV which are not working as the tube has gone. I have been trying to get hold of the SABC now on every platform I could with no luck. All I get easily is how quickly they are going to take penalize you paragraphs and paragraphs full of that and on my app is only for paying. My license is still due till 2026. Just want to cancel it in time. Well, SABC, come next year and your lawyers phone me I will take legal action against the SABC for a couple of things because I am not going to purchase any kind of TV again. I don't believe it, after paying them they still want to put through my debit order, I think they are a bunch of *******. Now here is what you do, open a new bank account like Time bank and change your debit order to any bank you are not using after you cancel your subscription or debit order, then just close that bank account again. Problem solved.
Thats it, after so many problems with ABSA I am done with them. First was money I had to receive on Western Union, my ID date of issue was a problem they could not pick up my new ID in which Dept of Home affairs said there is nothing they can do ABSA must update their system. I had some one not of ABSA help me on the online portal to receive it or else I would not have it at all the money. So that was forth and back with no results and after 200km drive. Then they send me mails to collect my bank card at Robertson, but I had to travel 100km again to collect it in Montique western cape branch. I finally collect it at Robertson branch. I tried to change my pin at ATM, but it keeps it to the default one. I tried to update my address this morning where I stayed for the last 5 years just to be informed my picture on my Card ID does not match my face not even the one on the system. What must I do to look like me on my picture photo???? Strange that CAPITEC face recognition except my face picture. I must have forced my thumb prints ass well but strange enough the system accepted that. Then he could not clearly see my date of birth on the ID, and I asked a stranger, and he could tell me straight away what it was. ABSA, do you want to business or stuff your clients around and rise the temperature. ABSA is very unprofessional, and I would not recommend any body to bank at ABSA.I am closing this account. The strange thing is that I have my Card ID since2023 and had no problems with it at any other bank or institutions. Not at the airport's, banks , I even bought two new phones and rice had no problem. ABSA the problem is with you. Or are you doing away with certain people or age??????

And once again ABSA has failed me, I opened a new account with the app. Last week they told me my ID Issued date did not match on which I wrote a Hallo Peter Review. Today I checked if my bank card has been received by Robertson Branch and it said I can collect it at Robertson branch. They told me due to renovations I must collect it at Montagu Branch. Ok that is understandable, so I phoned just to make sure my card is there. I had then to do a lot of security questions which I fail for some reason not providing the correct answers. Ref C54934642. All I wanted to know is if my card is at Montagu branch? My profile has been blocked etc etc. I actually wanted to open a Business account with Absa but this is scary, but I will close all accounts and move on to another bank.
I had a bad experience with ABSA Worcester branch in Western Cape; I had some one sending me money on Western Union to me. Robertson Branch who has help me in the past was no problem. But Robertson Absa is under construction, and I was informed I had to go to Worcester. After waiting a long time to be help they told me my ID was not on the system, and I had to go to the front desk so my ID could be put on the system, after waiting for more than an hour the lady said the proof of address was not valid I need a statement from Capitec, I went to Capitec and got the state ment. Then they told me about the date of issue on my ID card is not what is on their system I need to go to home affairs to sort it, home affairs told me there is nothing they can do its Absa that needs to update their system, This was a whole day of up and down and 86km further, so the one who send me this money on Western union knows someone who works with Foren exchange and explained to me how I can do it online and I followed instructions and the money is in my Absa account within a few hours. So it seems that ABSA staff is *********** in Worcester. Why could they not help me with this and why did I had to pay petrol that was waisted, is it a racial thing to keep information or is it incomitance of Absa staff Worcester, however, I will report this to Ombudsman as well because it's nonsense. Train your staff right, I will go to another bank as soon as I got this money. And Absa, I will be receiving big amounts of money soon, sorry your loss, I will get a bank that is not *********** like yours. I feel they could have help me but was just not in the mood for it.
I try to close my business account , branch gave me a number I must phone but every time they don't talk as soon as I say I want to close the account. No problem opening it, but try to close it they ignore you.It is very unprofessional because their business account is R50 PM , You must leave R150 in the account. I will take this report as evidence that I wanted to close it but Capitec Business was at fault to do so. I will deposit no money and refuse to pay any charges as from today 08/04/2025
I am satisfied with Capitec as I have a personal and business account. The only thing that gets me from this month is I pay my recipients, but it only allows me to pay two then my session has expired. It is very annoying, and I know it's for security reasons or is it to force me to do a debit order. I will never do debit orders as its abusive and once you try to stop a debit order it just does not get cancelled.
I have made a direct payment to my Time Bank account from my Capitec account. I have someone who works for me, and he has a Time Bank account so that I can transfer money to him. It's been 7 hours after I have Paid the fee for immediately transfer so he can support his family. I can't get through to Time Bank, I don't see any where that they apologize. Or nothing. This is not the first time I have a problem. I am waiting on a huge Lum sum but you know what, Monday first thing that huge Lum sum can go to another bank. Pathetic Time Bank.
