In the past I had such good dealing with this company, however I had to take out a new Tracker contract for my new car and it's been dismal! Trying to call the 0860 number is pointless with music playing and then when I asked for an agent to call me back via the website form again all I got was music playing. I eventually got through and a contract has been taken although it's been almost a week and I'm still waiting for an installer to come out to install the device into my car. I am now having to cancel the contract due to this dismal service offered as well as the fact that my insurer has already given me an extended grace period that cannot be extended any further as sending emails to the info@ address has given me no reply. I am in Thailand at the moment talking this even more frustrating.
Call saying they are Telkom yet when I question the agent he says he works for the third party company Cell Direct. Come on guys, kinda sh!iity to start off a sales call with a lie. Zero trust in you guys.
Had its day, wanted to charge my company money to reply to comments…bad business model when google reviews works so much better.
Where do I begin? Sheeez, this is been a long a painful process (and is still ongoing, sadly). Okay, so I bought a Phantom 4 pro (R24k) as I love photography/videography and having friends with these Ive seen the incredible footage they are capable of. This was on the 23rd of June 2018 (posting this 03 August 2018). After my first flight I was concerned about the range, the drone was only getting round 800m and would lose video via the remote to my iPhone 6s Plus (green and black blocks on the screen). I took the drone back to droneworld for inspection where it was tested and for the first time explained to me that the drone only has a 3-3.5km range in SA (although their website clearly states 7km in the product banner) - something the sales guy completely forgot to mention when selling the drone to me. Wasn't happy but I took it back to test some more. Stick with me On my next flight the drone again lost video, this time only around 150-200m away from me in clear line-of-sight over the beach as well as coms between the controller and the drone. They managed to pair up again and the drone returned to me, but a few days later it failed to connect at all. This to me was clearly a problematic drone so I returned it to droneworld and once again it was stated that there was no issue found and I could come collect my drone. I refused and stated that these issues were too big for me to have any confidence in this drone and requested a replacement (same drone, not wanting money back or an upgrade or anything silly, simply a working drone). The next say I received a call from Mike saying that the drone was indeed broken, a motor on the camera gimbal was failing. This was due to the fact that a small foam supporting piece was not removed (nowhere stating it needs to be removed in the user manual or instructed to do so on the drone). So long story short, my drone that was given the green light a few days before now is suddenly broken, clearly because I want a replacement they are trying to point a finger to me as much as possible (claiming the drone's warranty is now void because of the foam - contacting DJI directly they have informed me that the only way to void a warranty would be to modify the drone, which I have not). The drone was tested by droneworld prior and the foam piece was not removed. I've called to speak to managers with little or no success, even had the sales guy speaking to me while the manager was sitting next to him as some kind or three way conversation...very odd. Recommendation: If you like DJI products you will sadly have to deal with these guys. What to expect if you do: Incompetence Deceitful behaviour Misleading website Ill informed staff Lacklustre managers Refusal to take accountability Staff who simply have no care for the customer once a sale is made Document and ask questions before making your purchase. "One year warranty" is also not as it seems, the battery, camera and gimbal only have a 6 month warranty: "Your drone carries a 12 month warranty and the battery, camera and gimbal have a 6 month warranty."
Called Shaun a few times to get a remote as well as battery grip, no answers and when he did he promised to call me back in a few minutes...of course there were no calls back. I called again I was a few meters away from his office about to park (3pm on a Thursday afternoon), said he couldn't help me as I should have called earlier to arrange a meeting with him (duh?). Even though I was right there as was he, he refused to help me as he was heading to the gym. Up to you, I however will never use this guy
