Absolutely horrified now on the phone for 1 hour 20 minutes waiting for someone to assist me with wifi connection problems. Why do we face increases every year and the service just gets worse.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at Clothing Junction in Hatfield, Pretoria this morning, June 20, 2023, at 9:10 am. As an employee of the University of Pretoria, I have been a regular customer at Clothing Junction which is in our area. However, my recent visit was marred by a series of unfortunate events. During my previous visit, there was a power outage, and I received a handwritten receipt. Today, I returned to the store to inquire about exchanging the dresses I had purchased. To my dismay, the cashier (assistant manager), I encountered, was exceedingly rude and dismissive. She adamantly refused to accept the items for exchange without the original receipt. Despite explaining that the receipt was misplaced, I emphasised that the tags were still attached to the dresses. The situation escalated when the cashier began raising her voice, disregarding my attempts to cite the Consumer Policy, which allows exchanges with attached tags even without a receipt. Frustrated, I requested to speak with the manager, only to be informed that he was on leave, and she was in charge. Furthermore, when I asked the cashier for her name, she outright refused to disclose it. I find it deeply disheartening to be treated in such a manner as a customer
Thank you to Cristen Jacobs, who to me was just "God sent". She listened, she encouraged, she called, she followed up... I am so thankful for her support. I was able to get a hearing aid according to my budget. Cristen made me feel like having a hearing aid at my age is not the worst thing ever.
