I have requested this bank for a bank statement dating back to September 2023 for a case. I stopped using because of ***** that happened twice. I was told that the statement would cost R50. I deposited R250 and got a message telling me that they cannot continue with my request. I called them to find out why that is so. They said I have insufficient funds in my account. I asked how, and the gave me a list of deductions made. Made another deposit again, called them to request the statement, lady tells me I still have sufficient funds as she does not know much the statement will cost. How on earth do you work at a bank and not know the damn cost of a statement? Two employees said it was R50 but now this one comes with their own story. She still told me to deposit another R150 and if there is change, then I can withdraw the money. I told her I do not use African Bank anymore because if ***** and now because their customer service sucks big time... I'm ****ed off with this bank. I have a deadline in order to get my money back now this nonsense?🤯😡
Made a booking for December for a 4 days. There was a special going, if you book for 4 days you get day free, I did not get that. Nonetheless, I paid for my rental, no invoice, nothing. I do not know how much the car was per day. I just got the total amount and deposit that I had to pay. My deposit was finally sent to my account minus the petrol amount, which was at most R100 and way less than what I had expected. I do not know what was deducted and why as I did not receive and invoice.

I took some appliances at Lewis in Motherwell Port Elizabeth. Ask them to do a debit order, they failed to do that. Got a call a few times but due to my busy schedule, I could not got to the store to do a payment manually, exactly the reason why I said they should do a debit order. The manager or whoever it is named Chumani or something along those lines calls me and clearly tells me that I cannot afford the appliances amongst other rude things he said. He tells me he can come and fetch the money wherever I am, I told him I will not give him any money because I do not know him and I do not have any guarantee that he will pay it at Lewis, unprofessional. Secondly, I told him that I spoke to the Head Office lady that called me and we made arrangements for the 8th of August, why are they not communicating with the Head Office which is above them? Only to find out, the account number they have put down for a debit order was incorrect.
Worst service ever for the second time, let the first incident go but now honestly getting a simple order incorrect.... ordered those pizza pockets last night BBQ Macon and instead I got some chicken and jalapeño flavor. I don't eat chicken. Couldn't take the order back as it was already late and I was traveling with my kids. The staff don't even bother to pick up phone calls and I waited over an hour to actually get an incorrect order.
