In December last year I placed an order with liquor.co.za. On 14 December I received a call from Alister who advised they had no stock and I was given the choice or a refund or a delay until January when they would once again have stock. I said I would wait for January. By 31 January I had not heard anything so I phoned to find out when I could expect my order. Alister advised that they had not yet received stock and I then agreed to a refund. Alister said it would take 3 working days. I received an email to state that the refund was being processed. To date I have not received a refund or proof of payment.
I recently had to be hospitalised overnight and was admitted to Sandton Mediclinic. Thembani was very efficient in admitting me. However, the nursing and the food left much to be desired. I was supposed to receive intravenous antibiotics every 12 hours. The first two sessions were on time but despite knowing that I would have to have the third session after a further 12 hours, they made no effort to secure the medication in advance and then up with a list of reasons why they did not have it. Only after causing a scene did I receive the last dose - three hours later. With regard to the food, the supper was supposed to be fish cakes and mash potato. The fish cakes were not thoroughly cooked and were cold and stodgy. They must have run out of mash potato so served mashed sweet potato but still topped it with tomato sauce. I eventually went to the shop downstairs and bought a chocolate for supper. Nurses would stand around talking and laughing loudly. It was extremely unprofessional
A big thank you to Annelie at Martin's Funerals for making the arrangements to have my mother created. She really went the extra mile to expedite the process and we did not have to worry about anything.
Two days ago I bought a blouse from Brand Freeway. At the time I told the sales person that I was buying it for my daughter and would return it if she did not like it. I was told that I could get a refund provided I provided the till slip. I returned the blouse this morning only to be told by an exceedingly smug sales person that they only gave credit notes, not cash refunds. When I queried this I was told that the till slip stated they do not give cash refunds. There is no notice anywhere in the shop in that regard. When I asked why I was not advised of this policy when I pertinently told them I may be returning the blouse, they just once again stated that they did not give cash refunds.
Trusted since 1979? I don't think so. We needed a new stove and after much looking around, we dropped in at Hirsch's to compare prices. We were immediately approached by Ms Denahl Moodley who offered to show us what was available. We looked at the various options and saw an Elba gas/electric stove with a price of R18999 displayed. We told here we were interested and asked if we bought two items, would we then be entitled to a discount. She disappeared and came back to tell us the best price she could give us for the stove would be R15000. We were thrilled because that meant that the air fryer that we also wanted to buy would make it really affordable. However, a couple of days later, we spotted an adverti*****t of the internet which said that the exact same type of stove was available for R14999. In effect this meant that we received no discount at all. What a devious way to make a sale! So, if you go to Hirsch's in Strubens Valley, make sure to avoid the services of that person or perhaps just stay away from Hirsch's completely.
Spitbraai Boss catered for us in August. They were punctual, set up with the minimum of fuss and the food was ready on time. The food was delicious and all our guests commented on how good it was. Then afterwards, they tidied up and removed the dirty crockery and cutlery (which they had supplied). It was super easy and most enjoyable and removed much of the stress of catering for a large event.
We recently had a solar energy system installed at home by APS. Jimmy and Thinus worked neatly, efficiently and professionally and completed the installation in record time. A problem with our lights was resolved by Ben and Bradley and turned out to have nothing to do with the system that was installed. I would recommend this company any time.
We recently had a solar power system installed by APS. The service was excellent and Jimmy and Tinus worked extremely neatly, efficiently and professionally. The system works well and there is only one reason I did not give this company a five star rating. That is because after our system was installed, our day/night security lights remained on constantly and despite requests the company to rectify the situation, after several weeks we are still waiting for the problem to be rectified.
My daughter, grandson and I went to Panarottis at Ferndale on Republic for pizza. We placed our order and I ordered a regina with no ham but with spinach. They were not busy but service was slow. Eventually our food arrived. There was no spinach on my pizza and I was told by the server that they didn't make any pizza with spinach and it was not an option. I asked why I had not been told that before so that I could choose something else and the server just shrugged his shoulders. Also, the tomato base was very sp**** as were the rest of the toppings. Will not be going there again.
I recently bought a bottle of Jordan wine from Makro. When we opened the bottle, it was off despite being a recent vintage. I sent an email to Jordan Wine Estate to let them know. They apologised and sent two bottles of wine to replace the spoilt wine. It is seldom one sees this type of service and most appreciated.
