I visited Prisonbreak market on Wednesday 3 January with family visiting from the UK (including 2 small children). Unfortunately many of the shops were closed. The only place we found open to eat was the 'Noble Experiment' at the Pour House. Only pizzas and lasagne were available for order. We ordered pizza and drinks, but the pizza never came. After waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes, and going inside to enquire where our pizza was FIVE TIMES, and the children getting very cranky as they were hungry, we demanded our money back. We were told we should have gone in and asked for our order (after we did exactly that five times!). There were not many people there, so it could not have been a matter of being too busy. People who came after us, got their orders. There were 5 employees working in the kitchen and serving. We barely got an apology. I was embarrassed to have taken my visitors there.
This is a **** business - I eventually received my order, inferior quality, wrong size. The shoes I ordered were advertised as leather, what arrived was cheap plastic *******. When I wanted to return the items for a refund, I was told to send it to an address in China. No courier company collecting the items, like in any other business. No interaction - I tried to get a local address to return the goods to, but they don't reply. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM.
The owner of the company was very quick to take my business and executing the work, ie: drilling & connecting a borehole. However he took several short cuts, which I had to get sorted by another company, and when I needed after sales service due to a problem occuring (borehole stopped working, tank did not fill up any more), he never answered my calls or messages (unless I phoned from someone else's phone, in which case he made promise after promise, which he never kept)., He never came back, never kept a singe appointment. He is not honoring the guarantee he gives, and despite many, many promises I still have not received the promised borehole report or a proper invoice. I cannot recommend this company at all. It is very disappointing, that after spending so much money, one cannot get any after sales service. I have no option but call another company to resolve my issues.
I bought an IGIA sonic toothbrush at Dischem just over a year ago. At the time I asked whether replacement toothbrush heads are readily available, and I was told they were. The toothbrush is brilliant, the best I ever had. But when I tried to buy replacement heads, there were none. So I asked at Dischem Randridge if they would please order them for me. This process in itself was a lengthy mission. Various people had to be called to the counter, who all took their time. Eventually the manager arrived and told me to write my details in their order/customer request book, which I did. Then weeks went by and I heard nothing. I tried various other branches, but none of them had stock. So I went back after about 5 or 6 weeks. The manager was called again. He told me that the toothbrush was taken off the market and no more heads were available - sorry for you. No one had phoned me to inform me of that. I also told them that I can't buy a new electric tooth brush every year, I expected these to last me for a few years. The last one I had for over 5 years. But the manager did not care. One lady very kindly did try and phoned the supplier to find out, but she also had no luck. I asked for a discount on a new toothbrush or some kind of compensation. The IGIA was just out of guarantee. But that was not forthcoming either. I have been shopping at Dischem since they opened their doors. One would expect some kind of customer service, where they would try to satisfy loyal customers or compensate them for such an inconvenience. The attitude displayed was indeed very poor. In future I will limit my shopping at Dischem as much as possible.
I employed Mr Thuto Makhoane's, owner of TM Town Planning Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, undertook to submit a consent application for my private home gym at the Johannesburg Town Planning Department, Civic Centre. He quoted me R 17 500.00 for his services, demanded most of the money before submission, and disappeared from the radar after submission. He stopped answering calls and emails and never followed up. I tried for months to get hold of him. I finally contacted the relevant department at CoJ to find out the status of my application. To my horror I was informed that the advertising had not been conducted, and the deadline was a few days away, and that the application would be returned. So I had to take matters in my own hands to get the application completed. I am very disappointed in the non-communication with Mr Makhoane, ignoring me for so long and nearly letting the application lapse.
