Complaint against GoBid – Misrepresentation of Vehicle & Poor Resolution

I purchased a vehicle from GoBid via their online auction on 26/04/2026. The vehicle was advertised as a 2017 Volkswagen Polo Vivo 1.6 GTS with approximately 56,000 km and listed as a Code 2 vehicle. Upon collection, I discovered the vehicle was not as advertised. It is actually a 1.4 Polo Vivo that has been cosmetically altered to resemble a GTS model, and it also has a serious engine bearing knock. I raised the issue on 28/04/2026 and dealt with Michelle Botes and Kyle Motssen. Despite reporting the clear discrepancy between the advertised and received vehicle, GoBid has not provided a fair resolution or taken accountability. This has resulted in financial loss and significant frustration. I believe this falls under misrepresentation in terms of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), as the product delivered does not match what was advertised. I am now escalating the matter as GoBid has failed to resolve it appropriately.

I am absolutely furious about the experience we had at your store ,We hosted a birthday party, and the level of service we received was completely unacceptable.Waiters were clueless - There were no cups available for the kids; drinks it was served in coffee cups! Are you serious? - The soft drink machine was out of order. Unbelievable! - kids drinks received a hour after the food came out ,unexceptable - Our food was significantly delayed — some adult meals never even arrived, despite being ordered over two hours earlier. This is outrageous! - Orders were mixed up and incorrect. How hard can it be to get a simple order right? - We had insufficient table space for the group we booked in advance. This is basic planning! IF YOU CANT DO IT RIGHT DONT DO IT AT ALL - Kids' meals were paid for, but the included ice cream was never served. This is beyond ridiculous!refund expected!! I planned this day for children, and instead, it turned into a stressful, embarrassing, and completely disorganized disaster.If your venue cannot handle the number of guests booked, then you should not accept the reservation in the first place. Everyone is a store manager when Shi#t hits the fan but no one does anything to resolve it ,i expect feedback the owners details as well , including compensation for the meals and items i paid for but never received.My level of Rudeness is not as bad as the service. No party set up ,dirty/smelly table cloths No party hats Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5 Kid-friendliness Inside play arear, no ventilation smells so bad inside there its a shame really.

Terrible quality of food

Brolink Insurance

Disgusting customer service they don't answer calls They don't return calls They rejected my "MAINTAINED ROOF CLAIM AFTER A STORM " FOR A SECTION THATS LESS THEN A SQUARE METER ,then I get sent a endor*****t letter excluding all storm and water damage by Shika from Hollard with no call or explanation even after I sent them photos showing it's maintained the rest of the house does not leak so really it is shocking ,there assessors do not even do a proper inspection they just put up the ladder on the side and assumes there job is done. Same story with my last electrical claim ,A coc was given when i bought the house buy brolink Elsa and her team with Hollard included me in an email while they discussed how do ***** me over and reject my claim then they try to make up for it with some lame email response ,I had to redo the electrical get a new coc which I sent to them I hope in future they don't bs me on that side of things Check out there Google ratings and reviews it's the worse ever
