It's virtually impossible to get hold of anybody in the persoanl loan department. I recently took out a personal loan at a 24.75% interest rate. When I shopped around other financial institutions offered me a much lower rate. I've been trying to get hold of them without any luck.
I recently took my microwave to an authorised Defy service centre in Springfield Park. I received the quote and decided to phone other equally good services centre's, only to find out I'm being overcharged for the repair. I have been trying desperately to get hold of the owner, Hemi, and have left numerous messages for him to call me. He is clearly not interested in taking my call. It's very disappointing as all my home applinces are Defy. I will definitely not be supporting this brand anymore.
I had a car accident more than 4 years ago. To date I have had little or no communication from them. Ever since Marsh was bought my Momentum, their service is non existent.
Last year I was hounded by a Virgin Active sales consultant to join the gym. Every time he called me, I asked about my 12 year old son training with me. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem as long he was training with me. I joined on 27 January 2020. The second time we visited the gym the captain on duty made a spectacle of us because my son was not allowed to use the gym equipment . On the Monday I spoke to the sales manager and he informed me that he was not allowed to use certain machines. They tried to tell me about the T&C's but none were explained or given to me. When you sign a contract with them you are made to sign a small computer pad so you don't know what you're signing. I promptly cancelled the contract and was told that all my money would be refunded. To date I am still waiting for my refund of my deposit and debit order. Nobody can give me an exact date as to when it will be refunded. Totally irritated with the whole Virgin Active experience and would caution anybody wanting to sign up with them.
Every since Open Serv installed fiber into our complex our telephone line has not worked. I have logged call after call after call. The calls keep on being closed without a technician even bothering to come out to attend to the problem The last time I called I was told that the call had been closed by Altech in JHB. I find that absolutely astounding as we live in KZN, just reconfirming that technicians are not coming to site. To make matters worse we are now being billed for another service in Durban. Again we have logged compliant after complaint with Telkom. To date nothing has been resolved. Telkom has to be the worst telecommunication company in South Africa.
A few weeks ago i called Nedbank Card Division to find out how i go about closing my garage card. I was told to pay the balance off and then I could close the account. This morning I phoned to close the account and was told that there was a cancellation fee and other bank charges that needed to be paid. The amount totaling to R20.00. Nobody ever informed of these charges before and I can't believe that Nedbank is so desperate for R20.00. I have been a good customer of Nedbank for more than 5 years and on average spent R5000.00 per month. Really!!! How disappointing.
