Siemens Washing Machine Drama - No luck with the Call Centre
We spent around R25,000 for a new Siemens IQ700 washing machine from Hirsch's and in the beginning, was really happy with the purchase. As we have a stacking installation, we had arranged this with Siemens South Africa directly and the job was completed. About two weeks ago (and this is us having the machine for less than a month), the water alarm started sounding and I could hear it was struggling to get water into the machine. I phoned Siemens who sent out their Technician for fault finding. I was told that we should replace the water outlet from the wall as it was rusted. I took the advice and had this replaced by Burgess - the cost, R1900. We re-attached the water pipe but still the same problem. I then tested another Siemens pipe which we had, and no issues - this was attached to the new water outlet from the wall, water flowed freely. The new pipe with the machine, no flow. I have now struggled for the past week to get the Technician back here to re-install the pipe (despite having several promises of this happening) - calls to the call centre who had to get hold of the Technician - to no avail. We're unable to move the two machines as we were warned that we must not pull on the machines - even Burgess staff said that they are not willing to re-install the new pipe. R25,000 for a machine and I can't use it! How many calls must I log with empty promises? Surely there are better machines out there in the world where you get actual support.

Naked Insurance

I’ve been a client of Naked Insurance for the past few months after comparing quotes from several insurers for my new Mercedes-Benz
I’ve been a client of Naked Insurance for the past few months after comparing quotes from several insurers for my new Mercedes-Benz. Naked was by far the most affordable, and the sign-up process was effortless. No paperwork at all, everything was handled through their chatbot with incredible speed from the team behind the scenes. Recently, a rock cracked my windscreen on the M1. I logged into the app, submitted a few photos with a brief explanation, and within five minutes my claim was approved. Naked arranged a full windscreen replacement, and the process moved seamlessly. PG Glass replaced the windscreen, with everything fully managed by Naked. No mess, no fuss, just outstanding efficiency. I was speechless at how simple and effective the claims process was. This is exactly how insurance should work. A quick follow-up email asking if I was happy sealed the deal. Am I happy? Absolutely. Naked, you rock!

Run a mile if you hear the word Afrihost
Run a mile if you hear the word Afrihost. After 6 different agent chats on Whatsapp, the issue with my fibre migration from another useless ISP has been left high and dry without proper support to resolve the issue. Using Vumatel infrastructure, we bought a service of 500Mbps and got Vuma's guys out on Saturday. But somewhere between Vuma & Afrihost, each is being blamed for not doing their jobs and we are left in the middle paying for a service that we are not getting. Afrihost's teams do not care about you as a businessman, having to spend hours on Whatsapp chats with agents who are unable to get the issues resolved. With each new chat, you have to explain the issue from the beginning. So here we are, paying for a service with a faulty installation. They expect me to guy and buy a Mac lan cable to test the Vuma box - surely this is not my responsibility as I paid Afrihost for a complete and working installation. They simply refuse to send people out and Vuma points me in the direction of Afrihost.

TSI Projects - Airconditioning - Be Afraid!
I am posting this to warn other people about a company called TSI Projects Airconditioning, apparently working out of Broadacres. Herewith my experience: Day 1: They arrived and only installed the aircon unit inside, did not complete the job so our condensor unit is not installed. They were supposed to return and finish the job. Now their website is closed and they are not answering their phone or emails. Also, after investigation with SARS, it is confirmed that the company is not eligible to charge VAT on their invoices, which they do. I have reported them to SARS and I'm opening a case with SAPS as they are *****ulently claiming VAT. **Edit** This "business" eventually showed up, 2 hours later on Day 2. After not being able to complete the installation with simple things like end caps on trunking, I let this brand new 24000BTU aircon run for an hour, it did not cool down the area and eventually the unit shut off with an F0 error code. Meaning, no refrigerant present in the unit. Then they sent me the balance invoice, which I will now refuse to pay due to the fact that I had to get another company out to consult and offer assistance. This is my response to this "business": Kindly note that we will not settle the balance on this account due to the mess your “business” made. I got a professional company in, which needs to bring scaffolding, remove the condensor, re-gas, and do the finishing. Something your “business” could not do. It is clear to me that you are sharks, not giving your people the right tools or equipment to do a proper job. I am being charged R7,000 to fix your mess in addition to the money spent on specialised services to begin tracing your business. I will make sure EVERYONE I get in touch with, knows about my experience. You do not belong in this business. You are the most unprofessional, ************ operators I have ever dealt with in my life. This email will be posted alongside my Google review. Do not set a single foot near this property ever again in your life." So, before you ever think of using TSI Projects, refer to my experience as I cannot tell you to use them, or not use them. But let my experience be a warning of using TSI Projects.

Knowledgeable support agent, friendly, courteous
Knowledgeable support agent, friendly, courteous. Sorted a small issue out right away. Best of all? I did not have to hold for an operator for 30 minutes to get support. And it’s a real human! Hoorah! Hoorah! Hoorah!

Consistent in Bad Service!
On Saturday, we decided to visit the Parktown North store in Johannesburg, for what we thought would be a quick hassle-free lunch. We thought wrong. The customer service by your staff is absolutely horrendous. We were ignored by your staff, even though we were the only two guests in your store as they tried to reload some orders from one POS to another. We decided what to eat in the meantime and waited for our order to be taken. Nada, zilch, nothing from your staff. We were ignored flat out. Your staff did not attempt to rectify the situation and just looked at us as if though we were from planet Mars. How on earth could you allow staff to treat your guests like this? And this is not the first time. So, consistency is definitely there - in the BAD SERVICE department. You have lost clients for life as we will never spend money at Nando's again. If you want to retain customers, get your act together. Maybe you should spend less money on trying to think up clever ad campaigns and spend more money on training your staff or hiring and paying a little more for good staff.
