Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at Mac Banana, KZN, on 22 February 2026 involving my granddaughter. While visiting the premises, my granddaughter was petting one of the ponies when the animal suddenly bit her on the arm, causing the wound to bleed. We immediately called for assistance as the injury required urgent attention. We were assisted by Mr. Wesley; however, his response to the situation was both dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of providing reassurance or appropriate first aid guidance, he responded arrogantly when we enquired whether a tet**** injection would be required. He stated that no medical attention was necessary because the animal was “more healthy than us.” Such a remark was highly inappropriate and unacceptable, particularly in a situation involving a distressed and injured child. Upon returning home, my granddaughter became unwell. Unfortunately, due to the late hour, medical facilities and pharmacies were not immediately accessible, which further increased our concern and distress. As parents and grandparents, we expect establishments that allow public interaction with animals to have proper safety measures in place, as well as trained staff capable of handling emergencies with professionalism, empathy, and urgency. The manner in which this situation was handled has caused us significant dissatisfaction and concern. We therefore request: A formal written apology from your establishment. A full investigation into the conduct of the staff member involved. Clarification on your safety protocols regarding animal interactions and injury management. We visited the New Shop at Phoenix Plaza and purchased clothing, which was extremely expensive. However, the items were necessary, so we proceeded with the purchase. The staff assisting with school clothing at the back of the store were very young. One female assistant appeared unwell and was visibly hostile; she responded angrily to every request we made. When we proceeded to the payment counter, the cashier was preoccupied with her cell phone while assisting us. We also needed to purchase shoes, so I asked my daughter to check for them at the back of the store while I approached the security guard. The security guard inspected the items in my bag, verified them against the receipt, and approved them. While my grandchild and I remained inside the store browsing bags, despite having already purchased one, a staff member at the counter accused me of attempting to ***** a bag. I immediately explained that my items had already been checked and approved by security and that I would never ***** from the store. This was the worst shopping experience I have ever encountered, as the conduct and attitude of the staff were entirely unacceptable.
They are the worse .they are unhelpful i paid up my debt on June up until this date no one as sent me my paid up letter .i have tried calling them they of no help...hope no one else goes threw this ordeal again ..they need to close they are *****sters.
Very Unsatisfied with service from staff and branch manager Mr Sbonelo, he Refused to serve me with liquor that was on special, but offered his staff to purchase. I think this is very unfare and unprofessional. I will never go back to this store.
The Mackro Corumbia is the worse store to ever purchase electricial goods.I bought a **** eater grass cutter on the 31January my husband just switched it on it worked for like less than 5 minutes it began to smoke .On the 5th of February I took it to return it as it is still under warranty.The lady at returns said it needs to go in for repairs the machine was in tact and still brand new I couldn't understand why repairs as it's brand new .The box was given with the item but I was told to keep the box with me ..I waited for about a week and a half I had no response from them .I then called the store you wait on that call as if it's a call centre number although it's the store land line number anyways the store manager told me he would give me feed back the next day nothing had happened.I then decided to go to the store went to the returns department and asked them about the feedback they phoned trim tech to find out about the machine.The technician said to them I need to pay for the repairs because my machine was used without the guard which is utter bull**** how did he come up with that conclusion I really don't know.The machine was given in with the guard on the machine we never would use a **** eater without a guard anyways I was told to pay a amount that was more than the machine I had purchased.I will and still refuse to pay the amount.Up until today no one has contacted us . The item is still with them.they are ******* to the community. I hope people read from our experience with Mackro and never shop there for electrical appliances. Goods are still under warranty and we got so much problems that are unsolved with them..Mackro Corumbia the worse store ever...
