Reviews are willy nilly being marked as slanderous/generalized comments. Hellopeter has gone downhill the last few years and one cannot take them seriously anymore. Dont waste your time posting reviews here. I am out of this site for good!
If you are unfortunate enough to have to deal with these guys get out as soon as you can. Move, sell, whatever it takes. Wherever they are involved there is a stink. Service is horrible and here at The Jade along with the solar provider and Balwin there is some serious dodgy dealings going on.
Horrible customer service and experience. They ignore emails and provide automatic replies, telephone calls go unanswered and they don't provide tracking numbers until the item has been imported and shipped from their offices in SA. On top of all that they send you totally the wrong items. Now I have to try get a refund and wait for the backup item to arrive, since after I ordered the item and saw all the horrible reviews I decided to order another one as backup from a different importer. Do yourself a big favor and avoid (un)reliable store like the plague.
<div>Ordered an item from them before checking reviews and damn was that a big mistake. The amount of bad reviews from unfulfilled orders, no telephone contacts, automated replies and refund not being processed is insane. Can't we go report this scam somewhere so they can be closed down? As a backup I have placed an order of the item I wanted to buy from another importer that uses the same shipping provider and most likely gets the item from the same producer in China and that item has been shipped, I have a tracking number and it will be here soon. The back up order was placed 2 weeks after the order at (un)reliable store. I also have not been getting anything other than automated replies the last week from (un)reliable store and the tracking number they show on the site next to the order is also a bogus number, it is not a valid waybill number.</div>

Congested local infrastructure at peak times, don't even bother with a 100mb line, no support, no status pages nor a way to escalate or report issues. Line goes down at least once a week for extended periods, during bad weather and usually after hours when nothing is done until the next morning. Very hard to work from home with them as provider. My ADSL line gave more reliable performance.
Ordered a R50 000 item from Raru at the end of December. The product was scheduled for delivery on the 21st of January. Raru then contacted me one day before the delivery date stating that new legislation which came into effect on the 1st of January meant that they could not import the item anymore and that they will be cancelling the order. This means they sat on R50 000 for almost a month knowing they could not fulfill the order before attempting to contact the customer. With the weakening ZAR and time wasted they cost me a few thousand rand with their poor customer service and selling of items which they cannot deliver on.
Repeated unsolicited calls, SMSs etc without legal authorization to use personal information for marketing purposes, even when on the DMA opt out database and to top if off on a Sunday afternoon.
