My two residential rental properties are insured with New National. My husband was dealing with them on my behalf as he has a massive property portfolio that he has with them. One of my properties was vandalized after the tenants had vacated and I was busy renovating the property. I had to pay close to R100 000 in cash to contractors to repair what wa ****** and damaged. New National does not want to pay me for the loss. On my second property the geyser burst and I had it replaced using a plumber that I called out. New National refuses to pay me out for the full claim. This is by far one of the worst insurance companies. They will gladly take your monthly premiums but will look for every excuse under the sun not to assist you when the time comes. Whatever you do, do not insure your properties, vehicles or personal possessions with New National Insurance. They are the worst, most ********* insurance company yet
My daughter booked and paid R800 for a place on Nationwide Shuttle Services on Thursday evening for Saturday Morning. She was to travel from Emmarantia in Johannesburg to Polokwane. On Friday morning there was a crisis and she could not make the trip on Saturday. She contacted the owner Ric who said that he could not refund her. This company insisted on payment within the hour to secure your place but does not give peoples money back in the event they cannot make it. This is completely dishonest and unethical. Making money off of people who do not use your services. Do not use Nationwide Shuttle Service. They are unethical crooks. They will not refund your hard earned money should you be unable to make the trip
Absa Banks failure to properly instruct their courier partner DSV couriers has resulted in my elderly dad who is visually and hearing impaired and in a wheelchair not receiving his replacement card over three weeks after having ordered it. I have power of attorney over my father’s acccount but DSV Couriers refuses to acknowledge it.. I called ABSA multiple times to tell them about the problem and each time they verified my power of attorney and supposedly instructed DSV to deliver the card. I do not live in the same province as my elderly parents, and DSV couriers refuses to deliver the card to my father. Absa has failed to communicate time and time again to it’s courier partner and the result is lack of service to its elderly vkients Pathetic, incompetent and unreliable
Absolutely horrendous service from DSV Couriers who refused to deliver a replacement debit card from ABSA BANK to me elderly (81 yr old) father who is in a wheelchair and visually and hearing impaired. I have power of attorney over my fathers account and called DSV couriers as well as Absa Bank multiple times to try and resolve the problem. DSV Couriers refuses to acknowledge my power of attorney despite my having communicated to Absa Bank that they need to inform DSV Couriers that I have Power of Attorney over my father’s account. Their lack of competence is shameful
I ordered a Canon printer which upon receiving it, unwrapped it and tried it out. It was completely inefficient and not easy to use as the reviews had suggested. I packed it into the box making sure that all the components were included. I returned it the first time and was told that the return had been refused because I had opened the product and inserted the ink cartilages. The printer was returned to me. How else was I supposed to know whether the printer worked properly according to my requirements if I had not tried it out? I did communicate this to them and they told me to return it selecting a different option for the reason of return: “not what I ordered”. I did this and again the return was refused. It is exasperating and frustrating to buy a product which you are not happy with and be unable to return it. Very unethical business oractice
I had taken out a policy in 2000 and had forgotten about it. I revived an email of a summary of my annual portfolio and I needed clarification on the portfolio. I tried about three different ER numbers that were provided in the email to get through my final vial manager as well as a liberty life consultant who could explain it to me but all of the numbers had voice prompts which just never got through to an actual person. I then sent an email to them (25/05/2022)asking for assistance and got a reply 11 days (9/06/2022) later from a so called finial advisor who called me a few days later after responding to my email. When she eventually did call me, she was completely unhelpful having no knowledge about my portfolio and unable yo answer even one of my questions. She promises to find out more and get back to me. I have not received and email or any form of communication since. Liberty Life’s service is horrendous and completely unprofessional. I would not advise anyone to deal with them.
I ordered four items of clothing online from an international company called Veil in Brunswick in the U.S.. On receiving the items, I found that one of the pants was damaged. I emailed the company requesting a new item or a refund but have not heard from them. Their online return/exchange portal rejected my return. I bought the items at great cost paying custom fees as well as courier fees on top of the actual costs of the garment. To ignore a customers request to attend to a damaged goods that was sent to them is fraudulent. It’s highway robbery. Poor business ethics. I would not advise anyone to buy from them.
I purchased an Biogen Exercise ball from Dischem at Mall of the North which I only opened about 6 weeks after purchasing it. I have a home gym where I keep my exercise equipment which is where I kept the ball, in its box until o opened it. The ball comes with its own pump which I used to inflate it. The ball burst. Not having a chance to return it immediately, I took it back to the store for a refund about a week after having opened it. They refused to refund my money or even give me a voucher for the amount, saying that because the ball was “dusty”, it was possible that I had left it in the sun! Dischem’s treatment of its customers is despicable. They had implied that I left the ball lying in the sun and that is the reason it had burst. So, not only do they sell substandard goods, they cheat their customers of their money,and on top of it they shamelessly criminalize their customers. I am a regular customer at Dischem but I will never shop their again.
