I have been involved in the ST industry for decades and have worked closely with all kinds of service providers to the the industry. After 5 years of being an active owner where Ecliptic is the estate manager, I suggest that anyone looking at employing their services should look out for- Exorbitant charges: their contract is very heavily weighted in favour of their company; . They certainly pander to the Trustees especially those who are not well versed in this field, as they can run the building as best suits Ecliptic.. Owners and residents do not receive the same degree of cooperation or courtesy that the Trustees receive- and especially not those who ask questions. Their over-promotion and reliance on POPIA gives them the opportunity to limit transparency Their "management" is very much desk- based, despite marketing themselves as estate managers. Make sure you are getting what YOU need,
Ordered through Lizzy Burger who advertised on FB. I asked who the company was and she said Dealsl4all -an online store. The delivery came very late on the day promised but they could not give a time in advance. Unfortunately I had to go out. in the lated afternoon. So left the money with someone at home. As a result I only saw the goods when I returned and they had been paid ( cash).I was NOT happy. The one item, a little music box was advertised in pink - which is what I wanted, But arrived as a silver music box Very very cheap and nasty and the ballerina which was supposed to twirl to music didnot . it just fell over. I did not even open the second item, as I believed it would be of the same standard. That was Friday. 12 October 2025 I sent a whatsapp request on Monday to Lizzy asking for a refund, as the item was not as advertised and mal -functioning and I did not want the other believing it also to be cheap and nasty. She said she would ask her boss. ( at Deals4All) Never came back. Boss eventually rep**** and said that she was an independant contractor. The transaction is in conflict with the Consumer Protection Act, and the Advertising standard authority. I have chased up regularly for two weeks to both parties- but they dont take calls and dont reply to whatsapp messages. Shocking. BE WARNED. poor quality, not delivering what is advertised and no communication.
Very slow to start but Nombilo was very patient, willing and determined to ensure I was satisfied and always phoned back when she said she would and . we eventually resolved it all excellent example of a customer service orientated person.
Ordered a couch approx 19 Sept 2023 First problem the invoice reflected the incorrect colour of material chosen. The time frame was more than advised at the point of sale No follow up from them ever - and had to chase up the sales rep Jan who is just plain disinterested. Blamed me for the delivery period being later than expected, becuase I did not pay the second half of the acount- BUT they had not sent the second invoice, and nor did they tell me when it would arrive specifically. The delivery people damaged my frond door frame and my powder coated gate frame. I wrote this on te delivery note, and sent an email to the delivery team and Jan, the sales man. Nothing heard at all. I chased up with the manager Rachelle, at Table Bay mall store from which it was purchased, and she was helpful, but she needed the delivery team / warehousing to contact me. The order TBT012552 was delivered on the 8 November 2023 and no one has dealt with the damage issue to date ( 18 Nov) I am happy with the couch - BUT In summary- few of their staff understand the word cusotmer service; They want your money upfront ( charge R850 for a delivery one ONE two seater couch) and are very pushy about that; if I could have paid the balance COD I would have taken off an amount for the damages which occured. ( I suspect they know there are often damages...)
I bought light fittings and globes at Eurolux Milnerton, for a property I was renovating in JHB, through Hirsh's CT. They provided the globes too.<br> At the time of installation in JHB, we did have some problems with the globes, and the situation was \sort of "sorted out. But a number of months after installation it became apparent that they were burning out too quickly and there were issues"
