This time I've had it with the legal insurance of standard bank, you pay for no service, you need to write a review 1st to get assisted, they gave me an alternative number ending in 873 and the other number ends with 999, you dont get assisted through either one of these numbers few months back they mentioned the issue will be sorted out, one day you'll need urgent legal assistance and you wont get ahold of them, when you decide to respond to this message just let the cancellation department contact me, im even thinking of changing my hospital plan, my disability cover, my bank account, my life cover, if I could even change my home loan i would im sick and tired of this now. Please let cancellation department contact me.
It is through huge disappointment and with sadness that I write this review. I recently did an application to purchase a vehicle at Volkswagen Soweto Maponya. It was a 2014 Mercedes A class, my application was approved, we had some problems with the installment with regards to what the sales man said my installment is and what the finance person gave me, we eventually managed to come to an understanding but my installment was still higher than what the sales man said I got after approval, never the less we proceeded with the deal. I was advised that the vehicle was taken to Mercedes-benz for the speed to be uplifted because the "speed was capped" the car was apparently owned by a older lady that capped the speed is what I was told, there after it was a story about the auxi****y battery, there after I was told they are doing quality checks on the vehicle. I was abit suspicious with the various stories but I left it because I trusted Volkswagen as a whole, since this would have been my 3rd vehicle I bought with Volkswagen. I paid a R60 000 deposit on the vehicle to reduce the installment and the vehicle was intended to be a wedding anniversary gift for my wife, which I explained to the guys I've been with at the dealership. Eventually after alot of delays and hassles the vehicle got delivered to me on the 29th August 2025 with an engine light that was on and vehicle barely had speed, the manager i spoke to said I should drive the vehicle as it is and it will hopefully be fine with in a week due to the air filter could be clogged but will clear the more I drive it. I refused to take a vehicle in such condition and I cancelled the deal and said I am no longer interested in the deal. With my anniversary coming up on the 7th September I proceeded to look for a different vehicle from other dealers, I managed to find a vehicle from Avis car sales , great kilos great price 2024 model. I asked the manager at VW when my deposit will reflect because I did an application with a different dealer for a vehicle and I will need my deposit, he than went on to say, if he can beat the deal from that dealer will I take a vehicle from them as it will be the faster option, I thought about it and decided to give them another chance, we went back and forth with him sending me more expensive vehicles than what I got, i was irritated because instead of beating the deal, he just wanted to make a sale and seemed as if he had no intention to beat the deal and he was just delaying me as he knew my anniversay is coming up and i really hoped to get my wife a car as a gift. Here we are a few days before my anniversary and I want to cancel and he asked me to trust him, he will get me and deliver me a better deal, He even tried to convince me with balloon payments or extended terms to reduce installments, I refused the deal because it was not a better deal. The 7th September 2025 my anniversary day passed as a sad day because I could not give my wife the gift I wished and hoped to get her. I cancelled with Volkswagen Soweto Maponya , on the 8th September I was told I will receive my deposit during that week, today is the 15th September 2025, no deposit received, no vehicle, no reply from the manager I've been speaking to, just alot of sadness and disappointment. My trust in Volkswagen is unfortunately gone, I don't think I will do business with them anymore, I had trust in them but that is all gone now, thought they had very high standards wheb it comes to customers and service delivery and I experienced nothing but disappointment and sadnnes.

Taking up a month to month wifi deal with web africa is nothing but a ****, I heard about them but did not listen and now I am facing the consequences. Before taking out the policy I asked the agent if it will increase after 2 months as I heard from a friend thats what happened to him, agent said he does not know of such things, i trusted him and continued, with in two months the policy had gone up with R100 and I was not happy because I felt that I was **** to, so I made contact with them to cancel my policy and the agent said I need to settle all bills first, when I asked what bills is ge reffering to because I am on a month to month contract, he never responded and the conversation was ended. I decided to cancel the debit order and they continued trying to deduct and still trying to debit till this day since february. After cancelling the debit order i contacted them again and spoke to a different agent, she said to me unfortunately I cant cancel a policy that is inactive I need to reactivate the policy and then only can I cancel it, I went ahead and explained that when it was active they still gave me problems cancelling it, she said she will investigate and get back to me, till this day no one has gotten back to me and they still trying to debit my account and sending messages saying I might be listed as a default payer, which will obviously affect my credit record that I've been building for a long time so i can purchase a house at good interest rates and another vehicle. I have saved the chats between me and them and currently seeking legal advise, please be aware of web africa.
I would not advise anyone to take up the standard bank legal assist policy, I have been trying to get ahold of the department but the call just drops when you contact 0860 123 999 and you choose the legal assist option the phone just drops and tried calling call centre, when they put me through to legal department you stay on the line till the call drops, wasted my airtime and time with these people.
