We booked our holiday in Cape Town well in advance during the first week in November 2025 at the Horizon Bay 705 apartment owned by Angelique Fink at a cost of R17258.00 for 9 nights. We drove down from Johannesburg and slept over in Beaufort West. Three hours away from Cape Town we decided to call Angelique for arrangement with the keys. The number was invalid. We. Then sent a email to Safarinow.com as they were the booking agents requesting the hosts alternate number. Within 10 minutes we received a mail saying our accomodation has been cancelled, you can imagine our frustration. On arrival at the Horizon Bay Apartments in Blouberg we were told by security that there was a family already occupying the unit and it was therefore double booked. The security also advised that this was the second time this had happened with unit 705 and the previous family laid down a police case on the matter. We had to book into a hotel to collect our thoughts at a cost of R2119.50. We found alternate accomodation at a much higher cost of R23625.00 which we had to fork our again upfront. We advised Safari.com that they would need to refund the payment and the extra costs we suffered of R 8486.50. They only refunded the R 17258.00. We warn all holiday makers to not book with Safarinow.com as they double book apartments and have no consideration for the repurcussions. Now we have no holiday money thanks to their incompetence. We took the kids to Nu metro the Glen firstly the ticket prices were very expensive not to mention the ******* at the popcorn station 1000 rand later. Then we get into the movie house, half the seats were broken, the air was stuffy and hot with no AC running. I now understand why people no longer go out to the movies.... absolutely disgusting.
My son Jarod was rushed to hospital to the emergency Dept at Mulbarton suffering with severe abdominal pain...the local Dr on Duty then referred us to Dr Ede a Gastroenterologist at Mulbarton. He then ran a CT scan, MRI and a scope up and down. Then he comes out and concludes that my son had IBS and says the appendix is fine....what a load of *******....my son had his appendix out when he was 15. It's been now more than 2 weeks without any real answers. We then changed doctors to Dr Rolland who still could not pin point the exact problem. We then called a family friend doctors (a urologist) Dr Friedman who went through everything and found an infection with possible Colonitis but he confirmed that this is not his speciality...we have now been referred to another Doctor ( Dr Khan) so hopefully we will have answers soon!!!!!! I intend pursuing legal action against Netcare for neglegience of their so called specialist Doctors. Are there qualifications even real. Disgruntled parent looking for answers that Doctors should know
During Covid I lost my job and was without work for 6 months. This lead to a default on my Nedbank Loan account which was handed over to hammond pole attorneys. At that time they were handling two account FNB and Nedbank. THen FNB account was settled which I received a settlement letter on. I continued to pay hammond pole for three years only to be advised by Nedbank that they are now pursueing legal action after more than R50,000.00 was paid using the old reference number. Which means that Hammond Pole has been taking my money without any proper administration. They then said I must pay more than 3k per month which I have now refused because I insist on a formal apology and for the money to be allocated correctly to the debt of Nedbank. This will result in reduced interest. In addtion I have asked numerous times for a statement of the account which has never been sent. The case laywer who requested the payment of 5k per month did not even sign the email so there is no legal recouse that this is legitimately bein paid to the correct debt. I will refuse to the extend of going to court because I am an honest person with honest principles. Dealing with shady situtations like this says alot about our Country.
We currenty pay over R12000.00 per month for myself, my son and my daughter on Discovery Medical aid. On the 12th August 2025 we rushed my son to the emergency clinic with severe chest pains. After the treatment and pain meds the doctor referred us to a cardiologist. Only to find out even if you take your children to Emengency Discovery still try and pay from your savings. My savings are exhausted due this nonsense so we have to fork out over R 1700.00 for the emergency consultation. Then to add more salt to the wound we then see the cardiologist today who performed a full heart check to then be hit with a bill of over R 7000.00 because discovery would not pay the cardiologist. This is trully highway ******* of consumers and we will not hesitate to change medical aids in the near future. Such a disgrace of people's money going towards greedy pockets.
