Coca Cola have altered their formula and the closest you can get is original taste, less sugar. This new coke causes belching, followed by an after taste and nausea. Why would coke alter a winning formula. The person responsible should be fired
Just returned from Carvers. The worst service I have ever experienced. Ordered a steak for myself and a smaller one for my partner. They were so tough you couldn't cut it with a knife. It was worse than old leather, solid blocks of sinew. The manager/owner must have noticed and he said I didn't have to pay. But that's not the problem, this was my lunch he should have taken them away and immediately replaced them. I noticed other people eating steaks and they were able to cut them like butter. Then people were smoking. This I'd a public place and I actually feel ill. I never saw the end of the rugby because it felt I wanted to pass out.
"Barlow Pension Fund" Barlow as a company have been in existence for more than 100 years. During this period Barlow had a pension fund that they owned but was administered. I worked for Barlow in their motor division in a senior manager position. On leaving the company at the time I only received my portion of the pension paid into the fund. At the time the employee paid 1 portion and the employer contributed 2 portions to the fund. and the law at that time stated you were only entitled to your contribution. The years ticked by and the then minister Provin Gordhan stated that the companies had to pay to the employees that left the company for whatever reason the company contribution as that money was part of the employee earning. In a mad scramble Barlow paid people that they could trace a portion of the contribution made. That nobody did a calculation to check this is amazing as there must have been many hundreds of thousands of people that received payments. To make it seem legal they developed a formula based on 1% salary increase a year and on this formula was paid roughly 10% of what should have been earned should the money been invested in a bank or finance company. It was a very shrewd move and the then Barlow pension company formed a new provident fund for their employees and people that were actively on monthly pensions with Old Mutual. The existing Barlow pension fund they declared insolvent and Barlow appointed a little company in Mowbray, Cape Town, "Nolands Forensics" to administer trace and pay any employees they could trace. They were paid something like R250,000,000-00 to pay any employees they could trace. Imagine my joy when I discovered I was eligible for a payout. They actually paid me using their formula but out of the money paid they still owe me more than a million Rand I have been shunted from pillar to post in the saga, from the CEO of Barlow World to the actuary and they are adamant they have paid me everything owing me even though my calculation shows that at 11% interest they still owe me more than a million Rand. I believe this is the biggest white collar crime this country has ever experienced and the strange part is nobody has ever seen or taken note of it. Every pension fund or scheme did exactly the same thing declaring their pensions insolvent, submitting nil bonifides to the receiver of revenue and then making the monies vanish to avoid paying beneficiaries.
I am a pensioner on a State pension and spend all my pension monies on food at this store. On Saturday mornings they sell boerewors rolls and as a treat I normally purchase one of theese. The price was consistently R15.00. Without consideration for their dustomers SPAR increased the price to R18.00, this is still not expensive but it represents an increase of 20%.<br> My concern is that with the price of food today how do they justify a 20% increase on food items. I find the store management very arrogant and any complaints lodged is handled with a rude remark or sneer. I have complained about various items to Management and their answer to me is \iff you don't like it shop elsrwhere". I don't believe this is the way to conduct business when dealing with the public. On another occasion I asked them to cash R80.00 on my debit card and their answer was that they couldn't help me"
