I hired The Gas Company to supply and install a gas hob and related infrastructure at my property and paid the invoice in advance. It was a failure. During the quotation stage no measurements were requested or confirmed. On installation day, after work had already begun, the installers realised the supp**** hob would not fit into the existing counter opening. The appliance had to be removed and the installation could not be completed. I was therefore left with incomplete work and no usable appliance. I then requested a refund for the unused hob and the portion of work not performed. The company offered only a partial refund and repeatedly refused to provide an itemised breakdown of the charges. Their explanation was that the “all-installed promotion” prevents disclosure of certain figures. This makes it impossible to verify what I was actually charged for versus what was installed — which is the entire reason the dispute now exists. Because of the lack of transparency, the matter has escalated into a formal dispute and Letter of Demand purely to obtain documentation and resolve the refund fairly. As a result of the incomplete installation, I now have to appoint a different contractor to assess, correct and complete the work before the appliance can be installed safely. This will result in additional costs to me beyond the amount already paid, which I would not have incurred had the installation been completed correctly the first time. I currently have: • no functioning hob • incomplete installation • additional repair costs pending • a refund dispute still unresolved Based on my experience, I simply cannot recommend using this company. In my opinion, you will be better off with literally ANY other gas infrastructure/supply company.

I ordered food from KFC Parkview Pretoria through UberEats, but it was never delivered to my home. The driver claimed they left it at my gate, but there was no food when I checked, and it appears they simply drove away. I reached out to UberEats multiple times to resolve the issue, but I've received no response or assistance. I have reached out to KFC as well, and they too have so far ACTIVELY IGNORED ME. KFC, like UberEats, in turns out, SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A PAYING CUSTOMER WHATSOEVER. KFC ARE LOSERS, UBER EATS ARE LOSERS! By charging me for an order that was never delivered and not addressing my repeated reports, UberEats and KFC Parkview Pretoria has shown a ******** lack of concern for customer support and accountability. Their refusal to acknowledge my complaints is frustrating and has left me feeling completely unheard. This experience has been EXTREMELY disappointing, as I trusted UberEats to provide a reliable service. My recommendation: exercise caution when using this service, as customer issues may not receive the attention they deserve.
Buying a new car is as exciting as it it harrowing, given the high prices of new vehicles these days and the costs of bank loans, petrol/diesel and everything else related to car ownership. As a consumer, you and I expect the Sales staff of your chosen dealership to make "coming to terms" with the new car's price as easy as possible. Often this is achieved through thorough negotiation. Not many Sales people are too willing to negotiate discounts, of course, which is understandable. Coen Barkhuisen of BB Menlyn Mahindra, had helped me through the negotiation process very professionaly. His colleugues also often pitched in with additional data/information on the vehicle I was considering purchasing. Coen and Immy - special shout out to you guys for helping me land an affordable price, negotiating a great interest rate on my behalf and getting everything done and dusted just before chaila time! Well done! I'm happy with my interest rate. I decided a few days before XMas finally that I wanted to purchase my chosen vehicle, and Coen hooked me up properly. Such a nice gentleman to work with! Highly recommend Coen Barkhuisen as your next new "New Car Guy". Now, after a few days of driving my new 4x4, I felt that I had made the wrong choice of model, for a few missing" features. I took a mid-level model, instead of the top-of-the-line, mostly for costs reasons, and realized after using my 4x4 for a light 4x4 trail, that one or two of the features/components fitted to the higher spec model were indeed essential tools for modern 4x4-ing, imho. This created a little bit of a brief "buyer's remorse" situation. I addressed this concern with Coen at the dealership soon after, and here this gentleman and his collegue, Sean Pullinger very kindly clarified my conerns on costs, pricing and the features available on my chosen vehicle and really made me feel much better about everything! Sean even hooken me up with one of my "missing" features. Thank you so very much, Sean! Special shout out to Sean, Coen and Andre Botha (Dealer Principle) for running such a commited sales team. Even with some initial conerns, I can now quite comfortably say that the sales and Administration team - basically the entire branch - has proven to me that they are committed to helping future and current customers get into a car of their choice with as little hassle as possible. Worst darn "insurer" in the history of mankind. 13 years I was client of theirs. Loyal, well paying, low claiming. But for Christmas 2021, these money-grubbing scrooges decided to completely uproot and destroy my family's Christmas, byt denying a repair claim. Why even have insurance, right? Certainly: why have any form of insurance with Miway, right? They will take your money and promise you the world, but they would steal you wallet and stab you in the back, as soon as you turn your attention away from these incompetent bafoons. I have reported this to the Insurance Ombudsman, the Financial Services Board and a group of lawyers. Anyone wanting to join a Class Action Lawsuit are welcome to contact me ASAP. These guys are just not trustworthy. Please just do not insure with Miway. Ever. They will burn your family, just like they did with me and mine. Terrible terrible horrible people at Miway. Horrible. These guys are WORST than the entire COVID-19 Virus! Steer clear of them, in my humble opinion!
In March 2021, I return a set of wireless earphones I purchased from these people. They kept the earphones along with my slip and point blank refused to refund my money. I had to leave their store empty handed!!! Which does mean that they have basically taken my money AND the goods that I original bought and returned to them. I am not a lawyer or anything, but I'm pretty sure that is stealing. So, in my opinion, New World Menlyn stole my money. They exchange broken/unwanted goods by taking the goods from you, also taking the Receipt/Slip/Invoice for you and then giving you precisely nothing. This is what happened to me. Now they are sitting with my returned product (****py earphones) AND my money. I am out R500 with only a loss to show for it. This is what happens when you choose to buy stiff from New World Menlyn. They are laughing all the way to the bank with my money. Absolutely shameless. I have tried speaking to them about this, but they don't seem interested in helping me. They will very likely do the same to you, so please beware of this potential pitfall when dealing with these tsotsis. In my opinion, they are criminally bad at what they do. They have terrible business policies (by keeping your money AND your equipment for "exchanges"), they have terrible customer service levels and the equipment they sell must have fallen off a truck or something, that is how bad the quality of their merchandise is. I will therefor NOT recommend this atrocious excuse for a company, with their anti-customer business policies and practices. If ZERO stars were possible, that would be my real true rating here. There people are just really terribly super very bad bad bad.
Impaq has made themselves guilty, many many times over, for a severe lack of communication. Parents of currently enrolled children often have to GUESS and make assumptions on what is going on. There no clear instructions on how to conduct tests or exams, how to employ assesors (they expect the uninformed parents to do this), assign assesors, hand in marks for tasks and assignments, accumulate marks for a semester, to mention just a few things that make Impaq terrible. This is getting worse and worse with Impaq from day-to-day now. Impaq's already terrible service quality is now even further deteriorating, as can be extrapolated from the exponential increase in complaints and bad ratings, right here on HelloPeter, over the past few days. Example: My son, a Grade 11 student, is enrolled for Dramatic Arts. They had an official Exam scheduled for Pretoria and Johannesburg kids on 2 different dates last week. Everybody - including myself - had arrived at the exam locations of Impaq, only to find that there was not even 1 single Impaq Staff member anywhere to be found. Not one soul. No exams taking place. Nothing. I have had to find out from a coffee shop (on the same premises) that the Impaq staff decided not to come to work that day. Impaq has merely sent an email AFTER THE FACT, stating that the exams were cancelled due to "lack of interest". A hundred bucks say that Impaq DID NOT COMMUNICATE anything about these exams to the Parents. Hence, no interested could be generated because no knowledge existed thereof. See how incompetent they are? Impaq's severe lack of communication resulted in ZERO parents being notified of a cancelled, ultra-important, mid year exam. They wasted our time, our money - we even had to pay R300 for this BS!!! - our petrol and many of us had to put in leave for the day/morning, which was also wasted. Dealing with Impaq is clearly a monumental waste in itself. My point: I have had to deal with these people since January 2021, and I have been painfully regretting it ever since. Impaq is such a DISASTER! It has been excruciatingly painful to have these idiots in my life. There is never correct, adequate, accurate or any valuable information available from their end. Not ever. I believe they expect all the parents to have TELEPATHIC abilities to figure out what is next to happen for our children. Face it, Impaq is beyond incompetent and largely incapable of doing their self-appointed job of educating our children. They are terrible at what they do, now their continued incompetence is putting the education and academic future of our children direly at stake. Impaq does not care about the kids, the education or the parents. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. If you read many of the other 200+ complaints (at the time of this writing), you will find that 90% of all posts about Impaq here - at least - also complain about Impaq's incessant refusal to communicate with any of the Parents of their enrolled students. Many people have had to transfer their children BACK into mainstream schools, because Impaq is just so super bad at what they do. So, if you are currently homeschooling your child(ren) with Impaq, you have my condolences. Impaq has most certainly destroyed the 2021 academic year for all of our children. More than 10 X Covid-19 pandemics couldn't do that before! Stay away from Impaq. If you are, like me, already caught in their incompetent clutches for this busted 2021 academic year, then surely stay away from Impaq from 2022 onwards.
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. EVER! The worst part of this scary situation, is that this affects my child's education so negatively. This is so so so bad, people! Read on and find out why... Wow, these people are SO BAD at what they do. So very very very terribly bad. Such blatant incompetence is rarely seen outside of Hollywood movies. Just, wow {head shaking}. If you ever thought a company can't go from bad to worse, then let me introduce you to your next worst nightmare: IMPAQ. They are absolutely guaranteed to disappoint you, and leave a lasting painful excruciating negative impact on your child's education. Pun intended. Although I have been having related and similar issues with Impaq, ever since day 1, this one really just takes the cake: So, my son had to be pre-registered for an important practical exam scheduled for the morning of 14 May 2021 in Pretoria, including making yet another upfront payment of ZAR300, more than 7 days ahead of a Practical Assessment (PAT). Made the darn payment and filled out all the plentiful paperwork (there is SO MUCH paperwork for an "online" company, OMG!). After all that, I still had to jump through all kinds of HOOPS to 1) prove that I paid it and 2) Prove that I registered. They promised an email with this confirmation of receipt of my payment and registration. And I'm STILL EFFING WAITING FOR THIS EMAIL, IMPAQ. So we finally get there - that was a challenge also, since they put up ZERO company signs, nothing to indicate where they are located - just to find out that they decided to cancel the entire event and let nobody know. Now that is just lovely, isn't it?? There was only one single person at the campus premises. Nobody else. Drove all that way, paid all that money, did all that preparation for nothing! OMG! IMPAQ does NOT believe in any form of communication. You will see this is a trend with all the other 200+ complaints about IMPAQ. They never ever answer email. Not ever. They barely pick up the phone. They provide too little information too late, or nothing at all - their favorite thing to do, leave parents in absolute darkness. You see, apparently we missed the memo to Parents that specified we had to have TELEPATHIC abilities, so we could know what to do, how and when. IMPAQ will be damned before they dare let us know ****! We were supposed to already know, see. But we couldn't and so we didn't and so ***** us, said IMPAQ. ***** all the effing Parents!!! Right, IMPAQ? What do you have to say for yourself, IMPAQ??? IMPAQ is endangering our children's educational future here! They are messing with our kids, man! This is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst god damned experience of my entire life! My boy spent days, nights and hours upon hours preparing for this PAT test. For what? I drove so many kilometers through traffic, wasting time, wasting leave days from work, wasting petrol and my son could certainly have been doing something more constructive in all that wasted time. But NO. Impaq said we must go there. So we went. And we got precisely nothing for our expenses and efforts. They just stood us up. Just like that. Nobody was there! Not one teacher! Just a receptionist. Unbelievable!! These guys are SO BAD at what they do! You will literally have to search high, low, far and wide to find someone more incompetent than IMPAQ/OPTIMI. Jesus H. Christ! Impaq really really really suck at what they do. They should really just give us all our money back (although we have all effectively lost an entire effing YEAR by now, geez!) and close down. Do the entire world a huge favor, please IMPAQ, and CLOSE DOWN ALREADY! That is how irate I am with you by now. 5 Months of issues, crowned with a huge "***** you" today. Just, wow. IMPAQ and OPTIMI are absolutely, completely, painfully incompetent and useless. They certainly don't care about our children's' education. That has become crystal clear today! And that is supposed to be their core business!!!! ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!? Home Schooling was supposed to be great. It really isn't. IMPAQ really managed to ***** this up for me (and at least 200 other parents). Literally hundreds of kids' education, for 2021, is now been destroyed by another pandemic, known as IMPAQ. I hate IMPAQ, man. I really really HATE them! Sadly stuck with them through to the end of the year. OMG... IMPAQ is a catastrophe! A Category 99 hurricane. The worst thing that has happened to me, and it will happen to you too, if you don't heed this warning. Extremely upset Father...
Utter dishonesty. Utter unethical business dealings. Utter disappointment. Really! You are bound to be extremely disappointed (pun intended)! Such incompetence! If I could give ZERO stars I would!!!! Please consider this rating a ZERO STAR RATING. Xtreme Auto has proven irrevocably that they are just not qualified to sell cars, or to work honestly with new potential (and likely existing) Customers. I highly recommend you steer clear of these unethical bafoons! What happened???? I applied to buy a Maserati from these people. Yes, probably not the best idea to start with given what I know now, but at the time I thought I'd give them a chance to prove themselves. Well! Spent the time to go test drive the vehicle. Given that it is a second hand exotic car, with a lot of mileage on the clock, I even conducted a complete due diligence on the vehicle, by contacting the local dealership/manufacturers representative that originally sold and serviced this car (Maserati JHB) for the complete mechanical history of the car. Maserati JHB immediately got back to me and helped me out perfectly, by giving me the Maserati's complete service and repairs history. God only knows what would be wrong with this car if I had not done my due diligence! Xtreme Auto didn't bother to do this. No, they chose to lie about it! Maserati JHB reported that the vehicle has not been serviced since October 2019, which would be fine if the car salesman at Xtreme Auto hadn't told me that the car had just recently been serviced. Almost 2 years ago is NOT RECENTLY! See the dishonesty and unethical tendencies? Yes, this is TYPICAL of most car dealerships, but it is especially scary to think Xtreme Auto would sell an exotic sports car with the same level of dishonesty they would apply if you bought one of their much ****pier cars!! The nerve! I should have known better, because when I walked into their dirty garage posing as a "show room", I saw some of the oldest, most beat-up vehicles for sale. I don't think these guys are honest, man. I also don't think they should be selling nice exotic cars, or any cars really. Something is off with Xtreme Auto, people. Wow. Really stay away. I'm not even kidding! Well, an entire WEEK after my many multiple bank finance applications, after not hearing from them for the entire time, I had to contact them myself for a follow up. Here is what I found out: Not only did they botch the applications to all finance banks, but they decided to ALSO take a deposit from a different buyer?!? And, of course, who the hell am I, right? Why should I be told that the car I THINK I'm perhaps buying is just being sold to someone else. To the person buying this car in my stead: You must immediately take the Maserati to Maserati JHB. Speak to Johan van Amershoof. He noted there is possibility that the gearbox and/or clutch needs replacement. I'm certain Xtreme Auto would NOT have told you this. It is going to be about R80,000 to replace the clutch system in the Maserati. Just by the way. Such dishonesty and unethical behaviour should not be rewarded with business. Not now, not ever! We must all put an end to dishonest and unethical car dealerships like Xtreme Auto! Here is how YOU can help make this possible: Do not do business with Xtreme Auto in Wynberg, Sandton! You will most certainly be disappointed. If they are this BAD at the START of a transaction, can you just image what they will do to/with you AFTER they already have your money??? OMG!!! Deal with them at you own risk! You have been warned. They should change their name to Xtreme Disappointing Auto or Xtreme Unethical Auto. Geez!!! Are there just ZERO honest car dealers in Gauteng???
THEY JUST STOLE R500 OF MINE!!!!! JUST LIKE THAT!!!! NEW WORLD EMPLOYS CRIMINALS! I brought in an item for the second time to swop for something that works, but I decided that I just no longer want to buy **** from New World, so I asked for a refund instead. The criminal employee who "helped" me then proceeded to tell me exactly how I can go #$%^@#$ myself and basically threw me out the store. I have a photo of that piece-of-**** just as it left with my stuff. Wish I could upload the photo here so that you can know your enemy by face. Now I have no goods and no slip (the criminal employee took that too), so I am out R500 and nothing to show for it. Therefore, New World Menlyn STEALS CUSTOMERS' MONEY! Congratulations, New World!! You successfully stole R500 from me today. I wonder how many other customers you steal from like this on a daily basis?
