Requested Ark Waterproofing to come and quote on addressing a long term rising damp issue. My plumber ruled out any issues with potential leaks on his side, and multiple other service providers concluded the issue was rising damp. After the assessment, they concluded there was damp in the bathroom, laundry and garage, but refused to complete the work without me paying R6700 for them to “rule out a plumbing leak”. A clear attempt to extract money from me for unnecessary work, and calls the integrity of their operations into question. When I raised my concern, the made a scene about me questioning their “honesty”, they said I should rather get a different company to do the work. Not impressed.
I had an FNB revolving facility for almost 2 years, and decided to settle and close the account. I called the FNB revolving Facility call centre to get a settlement letter, which I was told would take 7 working days, which never materialised. I called multiple times following up and eventually was told that I should just pay the settlement amount as given to me telephonically, which I did, after confirming that I wanted the account closed once done. The account showed R0.00 owning. On the first of the next month, R3900 was deducted from the “available balance”, when I called in wanting to know why, I was advised that it was interest on the debit amount. Absolute *****. Eventually after threatening legal action, and proving I had instructed them to close once settled, the lady advised it was going to be sorted out and that it would be closed. Lo and behold, another debit order this month. I’m now having to take legal action and lodge a complaint with the CPA because FNB Revolving Facility continues to *******ly take money off my account. Rather get a loan from Discovery Bank, ABSA bank, Capitec, or even a loan shark, but stay away from FNB Revolving Facility.
I had my front break discs replaced at Hi-Q Tokai and have had nothing but problems since. The wheels squeak constantly, it grinds when I brake and there a banging sound when the car starts to reverse. I have taken it back 5 times for them to resolve and every time they says “it’s fixed”, a day later the problem starts again. Poor service from a well known Brand name!
I regret ever meeting with the owner of Axio Projects. We were drawn in by his charisma and his claims to share our beliefs, which turned out to be a cheap trick to gain our business. Our build was and continues to be a disaster. Axio Projects uses inferior materials, unskilled labour and embodies the saying "jack of all trades, master of none". We are unable to get our occupancy certificate as the electrical, plumbing and gas installations are not compliant, and they do not respond to our requests for COC. We now have to get third party contractors to fix the compliance issues, at a huge additional cost to us. We have been living in our home for less than 10 months and we have tiles popping off the walls, damp throughout our guest bathroom, laundry and garage, a massive stain on our kitchen ceiling due to an noncompliant plumbing connection in the roof, arching wires in the ceiling which were acknowledged by the owner and never fixed, a peeling front boundary wall full of bubbles as the contractor used cretestone on an exterior wall to avoid having to plaster it - this list goes on and on... We refused to pay the final balance, after the owner inflated the amount with fictitious "additional works" and did not attend to the snags list, which resulted in the owner making threats to destroy our property, forcing us to get the police involved. Extremely traumatic for my wife and children. We are currently in court over the matter, with no end in site and costs mounting. Avoid using this company at all costs. Extremely unsatisfied! Their 6 month mole free guarantee is clearly not something they honour, as since they performed the initial service, less than a month ago, I have yet to have more than 4 days without a new mole hill. I reported this to them numerous times until they eventually stopped replying. Extremely expensive for having not delivered. My advice would be to consider a different provider.
A truly ********** experience. Months over deadline and way over budget. The owner is a **** dressed like a businessman and rather than complete the work per his contract, he resorts to threats and ************. I strongly urge you to look elsewhere if considering this company.
An unfortunate experience to say the least. Paloma, my tutor, was great but unfortunately that’s where the good news stops. The course material was lacking and boring, no plans have been made by the school to combat load shedding so lessons are cancelled minutes before they begin. Coupled with that, the accounts department are hell bent on extracting financial remuneration for lessons that didn’t occur as yet. Craig, an assistant financial manager, has no interest in assisting or hearing what the actual issue is either through unwillingness to help or inability to understand and simply resorts to bullying and threats of handing over. Steer clear of Mi Casa.
Randall was employed by our landlord to fix a waterproofing issue at our home. He and his twin brothers robbed us while doing the work, stealing numerous items including an iPhone and sunglasses. If you value your goods and your safety, do not use the company or allow them into your home.
A courier service that makes you Furious, Fast! I had a fast and furious courier come to collect an item from me, as I had one item for collection by Takealot and another by Polo, I asked who he was collecting for? His response was “we only deliver for Takealot and one day only”....without leaving a weigh bill, he took the Takealot item only to discover that he was sent by Polo. A few days later they returned to collect the Polo item and now both items are lost and no one is willing or able to assist as they never answer their phones!
Never have I ever come across a company more useless or less willing to assist! First, they send me a different size to what was ordered. Next, their courier collected a Takealot item instead of the Polo pants being returned and finally they have lost both items collected from me and it has now become my problem to contact the courier because Polo won’t take responsibility for the courier service they use. Absolutely pathetic service and a disgrace to the Polo brand.
